we will feature it!

Snow Race

Pack the snow into hurdles or mounds to create and obstacle race. See who can race through it the fastest. This activity is guaranteed to wear the kids out since running in the snow isn’t the easiest thing. It also is great exercise for you!

Snow Adventure
See what has been traveling through your neighborhood. The snow makes it easy to see animal tracks. Go on an adventure and see how many different types of animal tracks you can find.

Snow House/Fort

There are several ways to do this. You can buy a rectangular block from a store that is made for this. An easier alternative is to use your Tupperware containers. Pack the snow in and flip it over, repeat. Make sure the bottom is wider than the top. Carefully pack snow into the cracks. Another way is pack a large mound of snow, again with the bottom larger than the top. Create a door way and hollow out the inside carefully. If you live in a cold area where the snow doesn’t melt, you could have a city by the end of the winter. Just one note of caution, make sure someone is always outside the fort in case there is a cave in.
