View Full Version : Yippee! Dating scan on Friday

I got a call today from my maternity hospital to say that they are scheduling my u/s for this Friday morning at 11am. YAY!
I have no sure EDD yet as my periods were askew at time of conception. I could be due anytime from May 12th to June 10th or so. I think I am about 7.5 weeks going on symptoms and the CB digital test (which gives an approx time from conception).
And hopefully I'll get to see my little bean on the monitor. I never had an early scan with Sasha.
12th may will do nicely- then you can deliver a few days early and make my birthday or wedding anniversary ;)
I shall be thinking of you, keeping everything crossed for a clear picture!
Do prepare for the fact they can look very much like a bean on a stick (Jude and Dylan should be bean 2003 and bean 2004 according to their first scans- both 9 week ones) the difference between 7-9 weeks and 11-13weeks in terms of what you see on a scan is quite drastic!

Ohhh, I hope you are either as far along as you think, or farther. It is so discouraging to find out that you have been gestating for less time than you previously thought. LOL
way cool. My birthday is June 12th ;)
I'm having a 3D scan on Nov. 4th. I've never had one before. I'm pretty excited about it.
Good luck Erika! Rai looked like a gummy bear at 9 weeks.LOL Mira and Laura were weird beans with blips(their heart). But no matter how strange they look at that age, it is awesome to see them early!

Well had the scan this morning. internals aren't really pleasant, are they? LOL
But I got to see little beanie with a lovely fluttering heartbeat. And just one baby! Sasha was fascinated by it all and James was exhilarated.
I am officially 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant with a due date of June 9th. But I know that my day is right (given our *ahem* activity around the day of conception LOL) and he did say give or take a few days.
9th June is a lovely due date though :D Looking forward to it loads now. Just can't wait until the exhaustion passes!
Yay. I still say the 12th of June is good :)
Woohooo for fluttering heartbeats ;) I have to say with Loki's first scan that was a gritted teeth moment like never before waiting to see if there would be a heartbeat (with the first three it never dawned there would ever not be)
Sasha is going to LOVE the 20 week scan where you can see real body parts and faces!
June would be a lovely time- not got too hot but also not huge during the winter either.
Very pleased it all went so well.

Beka, I held my breath until I saw the fluttering. There was a poor woman in before me who must have had a m/c as she came out in tears. My heart just went out to her.
June is a lovely time to give birth. At least I won't be waddling around with a huge bump during the height of summer like I did on Sasha.
You truly had my sympathy last time! Closest I've come to heavily pg in summer was having Chase in the October but being 17 then I was spiritely and enjoying going paddling, hanging out at the river at stratford- generally not feeling overly pregnant and lousy (really notice the extra 10 years pg with Loki I can tell you!)
You'll have 2 great birthdays for doing bouncy castle and outdoor parties when the new baby and Sasha are older you know (having october, march, march, december we miss out on the outdoor party thing)
