Home from a quick and sad trip to Brownwood, Texas, where most of my mom's side of the family lives. Went for the funeral of my 22-year-old cousin, Lane, who was killed in a car accident Saturday. He was a senior at Texas Tech, to graduate in May. He was home for homecoming weekend and out with friends. Probably alcohol related but not for sure. He had a friend with him who only had minor injuries.
The whole deal is just so sad. He had so many wonderful friends and had so much going for him. His parents and 28-year-old brother are just devastated. Watching my grandmother and the men in my family (uncles, dad, etc.) cry was almost too much for me to take. It's just so sad...

:hugs It is always hard to see someone so young with so much going for them die. My sister died when she was 17 her senior yr of Highschool. :(
I am sorry about your cousin. Your family will be in my prayers. :hug

oh boy. :( that's too bad. i bet his life will affect his friends and classmates for good. when we were young we thought we were invincible and would live forever, if we even thought about it.
i will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

That is so hard...my cousin died in an accident last year(she was 24), and it was really sad. :(
