I am just curious :)
I have always dealt at credit unions, but did have my student loan through a major bank and still have my visa through them.
We have dealt at the same credit union since '95 and we both work for this credit union now. My husband started working for them in '96 and I started in '04

I used to deal with banks but I got really tired of the outrageous fees they charged and theres a credit union here that doesnt charge any fees, so I switched over and have been really happy with them. I also like that I can use any credit union ATM and dont get charged.

We deal with a bank but I have considered switching. Not sure what to do since I have not seen a credit union in our area in ages. I do like WaMu though and have a small account there but the thought of transferring all our direct deposits and withdrawals from our main account to that one is daunting.
Banks- credit unions aren't very common at all in the UK (in fact i can't think of a single major one)

We deal with a major bank, but for good reason. It's the same bank we have our mortgage through and we've worked on building up a good history with them. So far, it's paid off nicely.

A bank, for no particular reason. Given that our bank had the worst rate of rejecting loans to Hispanics in California, perhaps we should switch. I've just been lazy in researching that switch.

We use a Credit Union NO particular reason. Just that is where Tim did his banking through when we got married so we continued on with them.

We use a CU but we have both dealt wit major banks in the past and I still have an account with a major bank.

A credit union is our main bank. They have really good rates on car loans, and we have our HELOC through them too.

A bank...Even tho I dont quite know the diference...I mean in my home country theres no such thing and I never tried to understand whats what...
