Hot/Cold Relationships

Do you know anyone who has a relationship like this? One where they are either TOTALLY in love or or almost divorced at any given moment?

I have a friend IRL who is like this and I'll be honest in saying that it makes ME NUTS! I want to say to tell her that if she isn't going to leave him, she needs to stop dragging me into the drama, I CAN'T handle it!!

I really can't understand people who can be in this kind of a bi-polar relationship. It makes me thankful for my boring marriage. LOL

Yep. I've had 2 friends who were like that. I actually haven't heard what's happened to them lately. I kind of got too sick of it. Bother were with abusive a-holes which just made it too difficult for me to be supportive during the great times when they were so in love and it would all be great.
On the flip-side, I had another friend who was in a relationship out of convienience which drove me equally crazy. "We've lived together for 4 years, but he doesn't love me and he never will so the relationship is going nowhere but we're going to stay together because it's easy. That way I don't get my heart broken and he doesn't have to find a new place." WHAT????

Me too, I have known people like that. Ant the chance of it becomming a good marrage is slim to none. Was like my marrage, knew it was a dead end and took a while for me to finally end it. I just had to get up the stregnth to do it, and since I was the "breadwinner" per say the fought the divorce all the way. He "loved" me, I think all he loved was an easy way of life for himself.
