Music. It is my talent. I am a viola player but also excel in music theory, composition and harmony. I have doing this since birth, practically. I come from a family of professional musicians :D

Parenting if i may say so myself- been doing it for a decade, have remained sane and my kids are pretty awesome, I've also managed to find a fine balance that prioritises being a parent yet prevents "baby brain" setting in by volanteering for and speaking on several parenting commitees which work to improve the cr@ppy community which i happen to live in. I'm a mother first and foremost but that doesn't mean i've had to sacrifice my intelligence nor my love of public speaking (unaccustomed as i am LOL ) and community action. I'm probably more passionate about my role as a sahm than i have ever been any other aspect of my life- i've spent a life time having campaigns and issues i felt inspired to speak out on (human rights, animal rights, religious freedom, womens rights) but on becoming a mother i found nothing inspires me more than my rights as a mother and the rights of my children to a healthy, wholesome upbringing.

I know it's frowned upon by some mothers and many women in general but it's what i excel in and i refuse to feel i am just a mother- it's a powerful and prideful thing to be able to say one excels in.

unfortunately i have never excelled in housework nor cookery skills much to the dismay of my mother :lmao who believes i'd be better off being less political and more practical in my role as a sahm.

I also excel in ecological and environmentally minded living- we chose not to have a car, we don't use air travel, we compost, we recycle, we use all energy saving appliances (light bulbs etc) where we can, we're conscious of both our water and energy consumption as a household. We use cloth bags for groceries, we freecycle, we chose not to have many electrical appliances such as a dryer, dishwasher, toaster, hair straighteners, hair driers, jacuzzi baths, we only have 1 television for the family. We hand on our kids clothing... yep i'd say we're a pretty green household.

In line with this i also excel at frugal living- that's not really been a choice thing though :lmao (more of a case of "excel in it or be shuffling the sidewalk in your bathrobe" ) I manage fantastically on a stupidly low budget with a level od debt where we could quite easily qualify for bankruptcy but refuse to as we get ourselves into debt and we shall get ourselves out of it.

I'm a fabulous listener and support to my extended family- i am the corner stone that holds my (largely bonkers) extended family to their last remaining strand of sanity at times.

Actually most the things i excel in boil down to 2 things.... I am cheap and i am stubborn :lmao

Taking pictures, I guess. I have been doing it professional for 2+ years.

Maybe dancing, too. I don't really excel but I have a lot of natural talent deep down inside. I am pretty proud of myself for moving up to the advanced level of our dance ministry (we do a lot of technical and "real" dance - we're not the "happy hands club" LOL) in just a year when I have had no training otherwise. :)

I think I excel at crafty things. Whenever I set my mind to learn something new, I learn it and continue to challenge myself. Right now that's knitting and I'm having a blast with it!

Quantitative analysis, Logic, the physical sciences... put a number somewhere and I'm bound to excel at it :D I'm NOT good about emotitive things... I think I'm 98% left-brained. I'm not creative (or at least not in the general sense).

Hmm...well, like Erika, I am good with music. I've been playing the piano since I was 6. I'm also good at teaching....I've been teaching piano since I was 14, so for over half my life now! LOL

I also am good at cooking, especially baking. I bake a LOT with yeast, like usually 5 days out of 7. :p

and like Beka, I am exceedingly frugal. :giggle and I think I was born frugal...even when I had money to spend, I just didn't. I'm a natural-born saver.

I excel at being a very good friend :)

I am also highly organized, proficient, detail oriented and a people person. Dear god. That sounded like I was responding to an interviewer's question:lmao

I excel at nothing LOL

I know that sounds pessimistic, but it is the truth. There are things I am good at but I don't excel . Jack of all trades and master of none LOL
