View Full Version : OK, throw some girls names at me
I am having another girl :thumbsup
I need some help with names and I know Kristen especially rocks at it.
I want something not too unusual but not too common either. Apart from that I have no other preferences :)

Maybe this will help me too as we are not having much luck with a girl's name. We have a boy's name picked out since we don't find out what we're having until birth, but a girl's name is being pretty difficult this time.

I love "Delaney." I picked it because it's not especially common but not wacko either.
The other girl names I'm really into right now are Lindsay, Riley, and Casey.
Oh and I will always love Addison.

Okay, just be sure to duck! Wouldn't want to hurt you! (Wow, I'm such a riot today.) Anyways, these were some names we considered for our girls, maybe one will "hit" you. (Okay, I'll stop now...)
Isabel, Elizabeth, Ella (although that has recently surged in popularity), Grace. We also considered Carter, which is my maiden name, and it ended up as Allison's middle name.

Congratulations, Sam!!! I'm so happy for you!
I know you're looking for the other Kristen, which is a good thing because I'm kind of out of girl names. :giggle

I thought of a name, Sam. Sonia's middle name is Linnea(you can pronounce it "Lin-ay" or "Lin-ay-uh"). I love, love, love the second pronunciation, and I would have loved to use it as a first name. But we thought Sonia was our last kid, and so we used it as a middle name and we pronounce in the first way(the combo of Sonia plus the second pronunciation of Linnea would have been really awkward), and I kinda regret that. I'd totally have picked Linnea for Z's name if I'd only known I was going to have another baby! LOL
Anyways...that's my contribution.

Congratulations Sam.
My all time favorite that DH would never let me use is Anya.
We quite like Lillian now.

The only one left on my list is Meredith. Congrats Sam!
I have to say, Jo, that Meredith goes really well with your other girl names. It just seems to fit.
How much longer left to go?

Lillian is beautiful! I think you have a real winner there.
Other names that might appeal:
Ivy (Maybe as a middle name?)
Simone
Lydia
Hazel
Eve/Eva
Camille
Ciara
Lila
Iris
Selah
Tamar
Juliet
Leah
I love Lillian but since Dave's name ends in I-A-N, we thought it sounded ridiculous together. If his last name had been different, we would have kept it on our list.
