View Full Version : What is your child's most annoying toy?

Elizabeth has a Leap Frog language drum in English and Spanish. I'm so sick of the "We dance, we sing, when we play the drum!" to the tune of "Ain't we got fun," that was used by the Carnival cruise lines in the mid 80s and sung by Kathie Lee :vomit

I want to kill the toy but it's her favorite. Of course. I'm now karmically paying for all the annoying toys I've intentionally given to other kids in the past. (Sorry Jo!)

:giggle I can't think of any really... oh wait. The boys have a vaccuum that is SUPER loud! It was fine when we were in the appartment because it had carpet but the house is all tile so it is just insane. It has since disapeared. LOL

Oh where shall I start. :giggle

The worst are the Leapfrog Fridge Farm and Isabella's I Love You Elmo. It sings "Elmo Loves You Yes he does yes he does Elmo loves you yes he does. Please Hug ELmo" and she loves to push that thing over and over and over. :rolleyes

The boys have three of the exact same robot (they got for Christmas) that are really loud and annoying. They have to have all three going at the same time too. :(

Um.. ANY of them that make noise I wish I could throw out the window. We've got three boys so they tend to get a lot of cars, trucks, etc that make noise or are RC'd. So there's always some kind of mini-vehicle racing around the house, screeching it's tires, honking. The worse ones have been the Hummers with the 'bumpin' systems'. I'm not into rap music much anymore, so to have this plastic car rolling across my living room floor bumping the bass.... it just makes me want to curl up in a ball and hide.

Thankfully we don't have any really annoying toys yet that she really likes. Her favourite toys are non-noisy toys. Except for her sleigh bells. Which we bought for her and love anyway. We bought her a little set of percussive instruments (rattles, toy xylophone, triangle, etc). And I love our musical afternoons LOL And when her little friends come over for a playdate, they love playing together in a little band!

Jude has this robot (robosapien junior or something like that by tomy) and when the battery is running out it sounds like it is "pleasuring itself" for want of a better phrase with the "ahhwwwhhh" noises it makes- the kids have figured out it gets a laugh out of visitors and keep pressing it- arrrgggghh!!!!

Chase has girl crush airbrush tattoo which is frigging awful to try and get off toddler skin!

Dyls probably has to be her pram as she dismantels and crashes it soooooo often.

Yeah, your not wrong there but I don't have any nice wholegrain bread in and needed something to go with my chicken that wouldn't need cooking!

:giggle You are an evil woman! I'm dreading those days with Sasha but I shall get my own back, I'm sure.

mmmmmmmmmm hula hoops. I had my lovely yummy mummy friends over today and we were scoffing on scones. I even made chocolate chip scones. I was proud and they were delicious, especially warmed up.

you guys are making me hungry!!
Liam doesn't have any annoying toys yet but Rylan had lots, the worst was this bob the builder truck that he had that talked and made engine sounds and it was very sensitive so at night when I would walk through his room (which I had to to get to my room) all of a sudden this truck would say "I'm ready to go Bob!" then start up and 'rev up' the engine then it would continue into the bob the builder theme song. No matter where I would put the thing it came on every time you walked through the room! Now its packed away in a box with among other toys a sleep n snore ernie, so this box when you pick it up says "im ready to go bob" as well as "im sooooo sleepy" (then loudly snores) lol

We forbade electronic toys, but when Eleanor turned one, I wanted to get her a ride on toy to toddle around on. We've always gotten the kids first ride ons, bikes, etc, from Radio Flyer, and I generally love them. The ride on toy we had in the past (wood, lovely) is no longer made and ours was broken, so I asked for their Retro Rocket. It's adorable, but I didn't realize that it's plastic and, more importantly, that it comes with sounds and lights. Ugh! It's a very cute toy, but I am so sick of hearing the little noises it makes. I love our no electronic toy rule.

LOL Polly! Pay backs are a b*tch!

We don't have that many annoying toys anymore since we started switching over to mostly non electronic toys. The only one who has anything remotely annoying is Rai because some electronic toys do have therapeutic value. Over all the most annoying one is the French ABC Leap Frog ball thing we have. I have relearned my ABC's in French about a million times over. That was given to the girls by Dave's family in Paris.
