What are your kid's/kids' favorite books right now?
Thomas LOVES these stupid Blue's Clues books I picked up at the dollar store about a year ago, much to our chagrin. They are just awful to read aloud. So, we will only read one at a sitting, and we won't read them before bed, because they get him all riled up.
His favorite book right now is Arthur's Reading Race. I assume it's because he likes Arthur, because there's nothing really notable about the story.
He also really loves this Kingfisher series about bugs, "Are you a _____?" We have the snail, bee, ladybug, spider, butterfly, and ant ones. He particularly likes the one about snails. Sean and I like them, too, so they're big at bedtime.
And, he also loves Curious George stories. We read them a lot at bedtime, too.
Maia's right into particular authors at the moment, so if a book is by Diana Wynn Jones, Madeleine Engel, Eoin Cowfer (sp?), Roald Dahl, Lewis Carroll, Morris Gleitzman, C.S Lewis or J.K Rowling she's happy.
What makes me happiest is that she's finally REALLY into reading. She would always read or be read to, but now it's a case of her starting a book and getting so absorbed in it that she can read a novel in a day or two...so now we can properly sit and read together, which I have been so looking forward to.

The boys love anything with Pirates, Dinosaurs or Marine Life in it.
Right now their favorites are "How I Became A Pirate" By Melinda Long "Captain Flynn and The Pirate Dinosaurs" by Giles Andreae (I think that is his name I can't find the book right now) and some 200 Page Dinosaur Encyclopedia they got from the Chidlren's Museum that Caleb makes me read page for page. :giggle
They also love... "Horton Hatches An Egg" by Dr. Seuss and "It's Not Easy Being A Bunny" by Marilyn Sadler.
They have tons of other favorites though. Caleb especiallu loves to be read to.
Izzy's favorites are the ones by Sandar Boynton We got a bunch of board books by her for her first birthday and she loves them.

David loves anything by Dr. Seuss. He also loves the Berenstein Bears books and Curious George.
Takara likes the Geronimo Stilton series and Judy Moody.
