He denies backing jihad but declines to say whether he authored controversial Web postings

A Kent State University faculty member accused of authoring an anti-American Web site said Thursday he ``absolutely'' does not support jihad, even though his photo and writings by him appear on the site.

If his personal views don't affect how he teaches his classes, or how he conducts his university-affiliated research, or break any laws, then I don't think there's any reason to take action.

I agree with you Lori. I went to the site today and I do question his beliefs and whether or not I would trust him in general. But as far as I could tell, the blog was just a collection of uncomfortable links, new stories and editorials. Certainly everything on it had a certain anti American bent but I didn't see that he was advocating that laws be broken. I am not sure the people that started the blog would mind if laws were broken. As far as this professor is concerned, he hasn't broken any laws no matter how much people might disagree with his stance.
