Do you plan meals out before hand or day by day? Usually, I go day by day. I try to buy what's in season and local, and then I cook based on what I have.
Do you think you're a good cook if you cook? I think I'm a very good cook. :D
I do love to cook, but that's because I love to eat. And I'm a food snob. However, I HATE to clean up after myself.
How much do you cook? A lot. We've been much, much better about not eating out the last few months. We usually eat out maybe once every two weeks, and the other nights I cook.
Do you enjoy cooking? Eh. It depends on what I'm cooking and what my mood is. Sometimes I really like it, other times it's a chore.
Do you plan meals out before hand or day by day? A little of both. We joined Costco and we go there every two weeks and get staples, and then I usually figure out meals based on that. I'll usually think about what I'll make a day or two in advance, and go to the grocery store nearby if I need anything extra.
Do you think you're a good cook if you cook? I think I'm pretty good, and I'm definitely getting better. We've reached the point where Sean would rather eat my meals than eat out, so that's something. And, I actually prefer not to share the cooking any more, because Sean hasn't really cooked in so long that my cooking is a lot better and I much prefer to eat it over his. ;)

I don't like to cook but I do pretty much all of the cooking and I just plan day by day. I guess I'm an ok cook, I don't get too creative though so there's not much to mess up!LOL

Do you enjoy cooking? No not really. There are certain things I do like to cook but it is not favorite thing to do

Do you enjoy cooking? Yes, pretty much. I really love trying out new dishes too! I think I'd enjoy it much more if I didn't HAVE to cook, ykwim?
Do you plan meals out before hand or day by day? When I'm organized, I do. I'm much happier and more relaxed when I've got my meals planned and shopped for a week at a time.
Do you think you're a good cook if you cook? Yes I do. I don't think I'm extraordinary, but I'm pretty good about following a recipe and I think I have a good eye for which dishes my family would be interested in.

Do you plan meals out before hand or day by day? I now plan my meals weekly. I find it much easier to shop and also less stressful each day.
Do you think you're a good cook if you cook? I think so... no one is complaining:giggle
Kristen, ITU not cleaning up after. In this house, whoever cooks gets out of cleaning the kitchen...luckily for me I do most of the cooking.:woot

Do you plan meals out before hand or day by day? if I know I'm going to be cooking, I need to plan it out beforehand cause the crockpot is my friend!
Do you think you're a good cook if you cook? Nope. I stink at it, which is part of the reason I don't do it much!
If you don't really cook, who does the cooking in your home? Chris does! He's good at it and enjoys it, so I certainly won't take that pleasure away from him! :giggle

I only cook when I have to and to give James a night off LOL I just don't enjoy it. I find it to be a tedious chore. However, I do enjoy baking.
When I do cook, the meals do turn out quite nice.
I love to cook!!! I do however hate to clean up the mess I make! LOL
I usually just go day by day. Depends on what we have on hand and what I am in the mood for.
I am a pretty good cook! ;)
My Mom and I take turns, since I am staying with my parents.

i have to be in the mood to cook, every few days/weeks i hit a mary-homemaker moment and when i am in that mode i love it, the rest of the time it's a means to eating and survivng though- David however loves to cook but i think that has alot to do with how we were raised, i was raised by a mother who HAD to do all the cooking as we were too broke to afford take out/to eat out and my dad would not cook so she saw it as a burden, MIL is very old school irish and takes pride in her food and preparing it, hence David does too probably why i see it as a chore, he enjoys it

we roughly plan so that we don't over buy when grocery shopping and we get what we need on v.v.v tight weeks but we don't say X night is X dish as we live in such a state of chaos it's hard to say if we'll have time to prepare whatever it is on that night

David cooks maybe 5 out of every 7 evening meals.
I think I could quote Kristen's answer and make it mine, but given that we've had many discussions on just that topic I guess she would know that already.

I keep a plan based on either what I think we should eat, but if I come across better ideas while I'm shopping I will change plans instantly...and if I happen to be heading to the Farmers' Markets I make my plans while I'm there based on what looks nicest

I love cooking! I pore over recipe books and look at recipes online, and I love trying new things (or making the tried-and-true recipes that get a "Dang, that was good, babe!" reaction every time.)

Mostly day-by-day. I do plan some meals in that I think of the things I want to make before I shop for groceries, but I don't plan them out for the week or anything.

Actually, I do. I'm not an amazing chef and I've made a lot of mediocre stuff, but on the whole, I think I do a pretty good job.
