Do you still have friends from "back in the day" either high school, college or even younger? How often do you hang out and is your bond the same as it used to be?

I just had dinner tonight with my college roomie. We get together about once a month. I am friends still with some high school friends and a few college friends as well, but we don't hang out much or anything!
Sean's the only friend from college I'm still in touch with. ;)
I'm in touch with two of my friends from high school, but it's mainly over the internet, because I live far from both of them. We're not nearly as close as we were in high school, but it's nice to still be in touch.

I am still close with friends from high school. One person, we get together all the time. The others I just see every once in awhile. I even have a group of friends from elementary. We aren't as close as we used to be because we all are so far apart but we are still in contact and get together every once in awhile. :)

I'm still in touch with alot of them, but only really 'friends' with a couple. I really do call them my true friends, because no matter what they are always there.
My only real friends, as in, people I actually hang out with and who go out of their way to see me, are people I've known since junior high and before. Unfortunately they all live in California but they are the people I hang out with all the time when I'm out there, and we email each other in between. One of them I've known since the third grade! Last time I was out there I got together with a friend I've known since the first grade.
I'm still in touch with a bunch of old high school friends...there was a gap where I wasn't in touch with anyone, but I've been tracked down by some, and others have tracked me down. I probably see my friend Nina most, but that's because she hasn't moved away from where we grew up and she lives very close to my parents...and in fact, next door to my step-sister, so we get together every time I'm up visiting.
We have the squire, JD, Johnny the dwarf (sounds offensive i know but he has Dwarf on his football shirt- Chase is 10 and taller than him, when I danced with him at my wedding his nose was in my cleavage, the photographer found it so funny he did quite a few photos of David and JD to show the height difference :giggle)
I met JD when we were 16, David 17, he was taking law class with me, English & biology classes with David and I can honestly say I hated him from the moment we met :rofl - he told me I talked like a secretary and I told him it wasn't my fault he was a common trout... the fact I bit back as good as he gave made us friends instantly :giggle
He's been a fabulous friend, he was the first person we told when we found out we were pregnant with Chase, he was the person who went to appts, classes etc with me when David was working and when Chase was born he was the ONLY friend who would take me anywhere with Chase, he was a few days old when he picked me up to take me into work to see David. He's Chase's godfather, he was our bestman, David was his bestman (although he's going through a rough divorce right now) and he's very definately urban family. My kids all call him Uncle Johnny D
Other than him there is his little brother Danny, who we met through the squire and we still see often, i talk alot to Danny (quite amusing actually as if David and I are really arguing I'm usually bitching at Danny over it and David bitching at JD - usually they figure out who needed to back down between them :lmao )
From HS I am still in touch with, but don't really see, a few friends- mostly via email and facebook.

We moved 12 hours away only 6 months after we were married, so it made staying in close contact difficult. I'm still in touch with many of my old friends (thanks to Myspace and Facebook) but not close like we used to be. I don't think I've actually hung out with anyone from back in the day since a few months after I was married.

Yes I have a few friends from HS I still talk to frequently. We don;t hang out often since most of them are still in Florida. But I do keep in touch and I see them when I am down there. My best friend from HS is still my best friend and I talk to her a couple times a week,.

My best friend is a friend from school. Though I did meet Lizzy first during orchestra rehearsals when we were 10 or 11. But we only became friends when we ended up in the same secondary school LOL
As for college - I still see a few every now and then, but not regularly.
I have found that facebook has been great for reuniting with old school friends, two of which I've started meeting up with regularly again.

The only friend from HS that I still talk to quite a bit is an ex-bf. There are a few others that I talk to on MySpace though.

Dear god, no.
The people I graduated from high school with were red neck hicks. I'm thankful to be far, far away from them.

Staci and I have been friends since kindergarten, although not particularly close in middle school since we were on different tracks, but became closer in high school when we shared a homeroom and more classes....any way. We talk more often and get together once every 4-6 weeks. Our daughters play together and are only 12 weeks apart in age, so that's VERY nice. If you ask Madison who her friends are, Staci's daughter is always included right after my nieces.
Taria and I have been friends since middle school. We do girls nights out with Staci and our daughters. I haven't seen her since Oct. but we've talked and emailed back and forth since then. BOth S and T live about 10 minutes apart and about 10 minutes from my parents....30-40 minutes from me.
Karen and I have been friends since middle school too. SHe's a year older than me and being the only girls in the drum line drew us close. We too email, usually only get together about 2 times a year. Her ex-dh is in the air force and she's spent LOTS of time away. Only moved back into her parent's old home (they built an new house) less than 3 years ago. She lives at one end of the county and I live at the other, so it takes some coordination between her 3 kids, Madison, my job and advisorship to get together.
I have a few friends from colllege that I email and we see, occasionally. Tammy used to drop by more often, but since BIL is engaged (she's had a thing for him for YEARS) she's not "allowed" (by BIL) to be in the area too often. BIL"s fiancee lives less than 2 blocks away and you have to drive past her house to get to ours. Dh is basically the only friend from college than I communicate with on a regular basis.....although there is JoAnn from my freshman year. SHe works at the hospital in the same town where I work and we email often. I occasionally drop by when I"m on the hospital grounds too.

I've got two friends from college sitting in my living room eating breakfast right now. :)
I keep up with a handful from both college and high school. I get together with one friend from college all the time, since our husbands are best friends too. And I try to get together with the others at least 1-2 times per year.

Oh and to answer the question...
I have one friend from 5th grade that I still chat with. We used to be really close but have drifted away a bit in the last couple years. But we still chat.
I have two friends from high school that I am still EXTREMELY close to and we try to do dinner every other month or so. We chat on the phone and email alot also.
Then I'm reconnecting with some people from high school and now, I'm super happy to say, have reconnected with Jessica (jbird) whom I went to college with.
Other than that, our big group of friends are mainly Eric's friends from high school.
Not anymore, no. I had one who I was friends with from the age of 2is right up until 2 years ago. She is now my neighbour and my worst enemy.
