Dh and I like similar movies (with the exception of a few) and we do like some of the same music and TV shows. However, I will watch what he's watching or go to concerts that he wants to attend just so we can spend time together even if I dislike the band/show/movie. He'll do the same for me as well but he'll complain more LOL.

We each have our own interests but we have a lot in common as well. I am the one that will go with him to something that doesn't interest me just to be with him quicker than he will for me. He'll sometimes do it but only after encouraging me to find a friend to take instead. He says we have enough in common that we shouldn't have to suffer through what we don't like "just because." :rolleyes

That's us too, only he's the one watching what I want to watch. I don't watch his stuff, he mostly likes to watch the History Channel or the Military Channel. I just can't get into most of it. (Also, I don't try that hard. It's easier to just make him watch with me):nannybooboo

Movies and TV shows, yes. We have pretty similar tastes. There are some things I like that he doesn't, and vice versa, but overall we watch movies together and all of the TV shows we really like we both enjoy.

Music is more iffy. We like some of the same stuff, but we also have different tastes. His musical tastes are a lot more eclectic than mine. I mainly like things on the folk rock spectrum, whereas he likes pretty much everything.

We both like pretty much the same type of music and we both :love LOST but that's about it. We usually do watch stuff together just to be together but not always. :giggle We will both sometimes go to our seperate TVs to watch things. :lmao

We have some we both like, and some only one or the other of us likes.
With music, we both like almost everything, especially old country, some new, some modern rock stuff. We're definitely music people. but he likes heavy rock, which I don't really, and I like a lot of girlie stuff, which he hates.
With TV, we're almost on the same page. We both loved Jericho :( and we like to watch things like VH1 reality shows, American Idol, Dirty Jobs. But I like a lot of other girlie stuff that he hates, and he likes wrestling and crap like that, which I don't.
Movies is probably typical - we can find ones we both like, but I also like chickie flickies, and he prefers more action stuff.

Music- basically the same, other than he likes jazz and I can't get into it...but I think that's a being in band thing

TV-I'm more of a reality show/girl show person. He likes Sci FI....so that's when I do thinks myself instead. I have grown to like a few sci fi shows over the past almost 16 yrs. We both liked EVERWOOD...that's where he got Madison's name from. I'm the one watching the history channel or how things work. Those he'll watch with me...as well as Rachel Ray.

Movies- basically the same as TV, but I'm definately a chick flick gal. WE both like comedies and I have gone to see a "few" sci fi's with him....but I don't like the re-made ones or Indiana JOnes "snake" movies....ewwwww

We are pretty similar when it comes to these things. He likes some more sci-fi things and I like chick flicks more. Well, he'll usually come over and watch them with me. :giggle

But TV shows and music, we're pretty similar on. I watch more reality TV than he will.

Not really, but we both really love watching movies so we take turns. Tonight it is his turn and we are watching "American Gangster" And I will pick some really romantic chick flick for mine LOL We also have neutral nights where we watch movies we both want to watch.

We each have our own interests with tv and movies, but there's a huge overlap. He'll watch his shows when I'm out at night or I'll watch mine during the day. He's really into sci-fi and history channel stuff, where I'll tape things like Dr. Phil and Dancing with the Stars. :giggle Same goes for movies. But we do have a huge overlap of shows and films that we both enjoy.

For music, we're both really into the same band and type of music.

Movies- There are quite a few we both like but I am not to big on action movies especially ones without alot of violence and such in them so I usually don't watch and he won't watch most of the "chick flicks' That i really enjoy but we can usually find one we borh like when we want to watch together.

TV shows - Not at all. We don't really watch any of the same shows I will sit and watch with him but he won't watch any of mine. I think the only show we both enjoy is LOST and he doesn't really have the schedule where he is able to keep up with that anymore.

Music- We both enjoy country and a few other artists but he also likes some things that i don't

Movies? Big fat NO...the onlymovies we watch together are kids movies...our taste couldnt be more different

TV Shows? Some...Im not much of a TV watcher but he will watch almost all I like (House, Cops and Cheaters being it)...he is still not hooked on sex and the city :giggle

Music?Not really...we like some classic rock but I like classical and french pop and like 80s music and he likes some punk rock and other things that Im not very into...as long as he does not pull a country CD we can survive

We rarely do things just to be together...He will not watch a russian mid 70s movie with me nor will I watch NCAA basketball with him...I guess we suck at compromising :P

We like a lot of the same things which is nice. We'll also indulge the other in their likes and watch with them. :)

We don't watch TV or movies.

He likes some of my music, I like some of his. Mostly he is a Jazz fan and I hate it but I listen to it with him every night.

We like the same music and tv shows. One thing Andy likes that I don't care for is fishing and outdoors type things. I do try to indulge him once and awhile by going with him though.
