I'm down to the last 7lbs. I'm not planning on getting pregnant again until that last little bit is gone. I figure if I carry the 7lbs througout the next pregnancy, that's not really baby weight anymore, it's my weight.

First time: lost most of it in a couple of months, then lost the rest (plus some) on Weight Watchers when she was just under 2.

Second time: lost about half of it, I think??

Third time: lost it all in about two weeks and continued to lose for a while after that. Unfortunately I have gained a bunch back because of other issues.

I've lost about 18 pounds of it. Still a bit to go though.

Breastfeeding this toddler has me starving all the time (Yes, thats the reason, honest :Paranoid LOL)

I lost nothing while I was breastfeeding. It really didn't seem to matter how much or little I ate. The two years I was nursing, my body hung onto every pound it could. Then, I lost about 20 lbs. in the three months after I stopped nursing without changing my eating habits at all.

I'm about 5 lbs. away from my pre-pg weight right now. I'm not really stressing about getting there, because my body is different. My boobs haven't shrunk at all from where they were when I was at my heaviest right after giving birth, so I'm thinking that's where at least a few of the pounds are. :giggle

I'm focusing right now on getting as fit as possible before we try for another baby (hopefully in the fall, if Sean finds a job). If I get back to or below my pre-pg weight, that's great, if not, that'll be fine, too. I think the thing that really affected my mood when I was pregnant with Thomas is that I stopped exercising in the first trimester, when I was so tired and nauseated, and I never got back into it. This time I want to make sure I'm exercising very regularly and it will be enough of a habit that I'll keep it up even if I don't feel very well.

Well with Dylan and Caleb I lost pretty much all of it right away. By the time I left the hospital had just over 5lbs each time and that came off pretty quickly a few weeks afterwards.

After having Isabella. I still had 20 extra lbs and I have 10 yet to loose and she is two and a half.

Lori - I was the same with all three kids - I never lost the majority of the baby weight til after I stopped nursing - which meant I lost Kieran's baby weight the same time as Treyce's cuz I was still nursing him when I got pg!

I lost the baby weight plus 15lb within 3-4 mths after stopping with Kaylyn. I still had the 15lb from Kieran when I conceived Treyce. With him it was bout 3mths after I stopped nursing that I lost his 15 and Kieran's 15.

I got back to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly with all four. Of course, my pre-pregnancy weight was about 20 lbs. higher than it should have been. Now that my "baby" is 4, I've managed to pack on enough that I have 25 lbs. to lose before I am "pre-pregnancy" again. At this point, though, I can't blame the baby. :giggle

I lost it all, all four times, but it took different amounts of time. I definitely noticed slower weight loss each time I had a baby. Breastfeeding seems to make me lose weight, though, and even though I gained a pretty hefty amount of weight most times(50 pounds last time :o), it all came off with my regular eating habits and activity.

I actually weigh a little bit less than I did before I had kids(although I am saggier in places :giggle). I think I am too busy to eat too much! LOL

Kristen - me too. I'm a good 30lb less than what I was when I got pregnant with Kaylyn. I was 170ish and now I'm about 138ish.

Man, I had read about how nursing really causes you to hang on to that last 5 lbs. and thought it was a joke! Oh, how wrong I was! The only reason I'm down to the last five was getting my tonsils out!

I never lost any weight after I quit nursing. I eagerly anticipated it both times but, nope, didn't make a darned bit of difference. I would love to think it might happen this time but I have no evidence to believe my own personal body works that way. Just my luck!

Oooh, that is much more significant than my change. I was about 140 or 145 before I ever had kids, and now I hover around 130.

Before I had kids, I was in really good physical shape, so I think a lot of the weight I had before was just muscle. I used to bike and swim and walk and do strength training and now I just don't have the time.

I didn't lose anything until Rachel was about 18 months old. From that time - it took me about 3 years - but I lost all of the weight that I'd gained from pregnancy, and about 60lbs on top of that. Yeah.... I was 205 when I got pregnant w/Kaleb LOL

With Kara, it took me about 9 months, and I lost the baby weight.

It'll be 17 weeks on Thursday since I had Brady and I am now 3lbs lighter than I was pre-pregnancy. I think a lot of that is due to muscle loss. I was in pretty good shape before I got pregnant and now that is not the case. I'm hoping to get back there though.

I'm also breastfeeding and certainly not eating enough. I still haven't quite worked out how to eat lunch. He just fell asleep so I'm going to try to get something to eat now.

I actually lost all the baby weight pretty much right after Shelby was born. When she was around 3/4 months, I weighed less than I had before I was pregnant.

I have since gained that and more back. :sigh

I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I was 167 pre-pregnancy now I am 136 9 months later. I can't believe how fast my weight came off. I am breastfeeding (exclusively pumping). I attribute that to the weight loss. I am hoping it stays off after I quit pumping. I am so excited, I am smaller than I was in highschool. I would have never thought it was possible. I'm still a little saggy but I hope to tighten everything up and be one sexy mama.

errrm with #1 i was actually 2 dress sizes smaller the DAY she was born then i was pre-pregnancy! so i lost it before i gained any there

With Jude i dropped alot of it quickly and then as a result got pg when he was 11 weeks old (pcos thing for me- sudden weight loss seems to spur ovulation)

After Dyl i still held a bit from Jude, a bit from here and then got pg the 4th, 5th and 6th times- all of which were m/cs so I got real depressed, gained alot of weight and then did get pregnant with Loks and I'm now around 40lb over my ideal as a result... he's 14 months, i really have to get moving on losing it!

Jas is 15 mths old and I am smaller now than what I was before I fell pregnant. Morning sickness for 9 mths straight helped with that.

Gained 30-35 pounds. Lost 25-30 within a month or two. The rest lingered for a while. Delaney is 13 months and it's probably been gone a couple of months, except for a little sag in the belly. Hoping once the weather warms up that we'll be moving around more and I'll get toned up and ready for swimsuit season.

I gained 32...was my highest weight non-pregnat when I got pregnant. I'm now smaller than I was before pregnancy...and almost what I was in high school....only 5 lbs more and I'll weigh what I did on graduation day....a nonfunctioning Gall bladder helped there....

I gained about 35 lbs and now almost 3 months postpartum I am only 3-5 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight. But I seem to keep fluctuating and not losing any more. Even though I am close to my pre preg weight I still feel waaaaay more jiggly than I did before. My belly seem so flabby, so I hope that if I eat better and work my abs more that will go away. Anyone still experiencing the flab????

With Tara it took me about a year to lose the baby weight, my whole body changed so much being pregnant with her, none of my clothes ever fitted properly again because I grew hips and my boobs stayed a cup size bigger after a year of nursing.

With Marcus - well he's 7 months and I'm about 3lbs less than when I got pregnant. I breastfeed him a lot more though - still nursing in the night, and I'm constantly starving.

In between those two pregnancies I yo-yo'd up and down the scales, so who knows what is baby weight and what isn't, lol.
I don't think I'll ever be pre-pregnancy weight again, it was pretty skinny and I've got big boobs and a big appetite now! I'll be happy to be within 5lbs of it though, and I'm there already.

As for being toned though - ha!

Urgh. This is going to sound better than it is in reality. I lost all the weight with each of them within two weeks. But I was underweight when I got pregnant with each of them, so that wasn't so good. And then with breastfeeding, I lost still more unless I ate superhuman amounts of food each time. I had to wean Gabriel at 16 months because I'd gotten so thin and was having ongoing spells of dizziness. I think pregnancy tends to enhance whichever type of weight one is prone to, whether it's being overweight or underweight. It always seems unjust to me that I wanted to keep some weight on and I lost it all while friends of mine wanted to lose the weight and didn't.

That does seem to be the case with pregnancy and breastfeeding. It seems, at least anecdotally, that if your body is prone to gaining weight, that's just exacerbated, and if your body is prone to losing weight, that is, too.

I lost it all really quickly and kept it off for about two years. Then I gained back all the weight, and rather suddenly. I'm not sure what happened, but thyroid tests came back okay.

Ok.....with our triplets I gained over 65 lbs, and I was pre-pregnancy weight about 4 months after their birth, but gained 10 lbs when I stopped pumping. I would have to say I'm at a healthy weight for my height, although I wouldn't mind losing another 5 lbs or so. :D
