Still here. :unreal
I have another appointment on Tuesday to talk about beginning some natural induction methods. Please think of me, as I am not willing to be risked out of a homebirth just for being overdue. And I am terrified of having to go to the hospital for induction and interventions again.
:squeeze I hope you go into labor soon!

:squeeze Tegan. I have been thinking of you and sorry to hear that you could be risked out of HB.
Keeping everything crossed that little one arrives soon!

Your midwife will let you go for a while, won't she?
I hope your little mr. or miss decides to come see the light of day SOON, on his/her own. :hugs because being overdue bites.

Oh suckage! :(
Has your midwife mentioned anything about homeopathy yet? I'm willing to swear that it had something to do with my labour starting.

Hope midwives let you go awhile longer. Did she say how long they will wait? 40 wks 2 days isn't really late. :) Consider going in to see a good chiropractor or an acupuncturist before you do the evil pitocin!
Labor vibes heading your way.
:squeeze :squeeze :squeeze and crossing my fingers, toes, and various lower limb bits that you don't make it to your Tuesday appointment.

Oh, I hope you're having that baby now.....................
My midwife said she'd go to 42 weeks before really considering anything drastic......
You could talk to her about blue/black cohash and nipple stim - but definately talk to her first - they're not stuff to play around with on your own!

I can go until 42w, 3d before they'll recommend a hospital birth, provided all the NSTs and all that turn up fine throughout. I am also allowed to choose a HB up to 43 weeks, provided I am informed of the risks associated. I'm just nervous because the last birth was such a bad experience for me. I'm sort of just at the end of my rope here, with emotions running high, wanting to be in my own home, and feeling so completely done. I miss Mike, even though he's here on weekends, and I am feeling like an awful mother to James right now, because I am so drained that I have no energy for him.
No talk of homeopathics yet, but I'm sure it'll come up during the next appointment. I am seriously considering getting a sweep, as well. I asked them to check me on Thursday and I was not even one centimetre, though very, very soft.
I'm very cranky, though I've promised myself not to go into labour tonight, as I would like to watch The Oscars. LOL

Hang tight! I was still totally closed at 41 weeks with Emily and went into labour two days after (and she was born within four hours).
I hope they discuss homeopath treatements with you at the next appt.

Oh hun, I'm really sending you all the labour vibes I can, now that the Oscars are done :D
I sent "you" (maybe it was Mike?) a message on YIM the other day, saying Happy Due Date - you hit 40 weeks on exactly the same day I hit 20 weeks :)
Hoping to hear some wonderful, intervention free news very soon. Until then, lots of hugs.

The good news is that you have plenty of time. They aren't rushing you and chances are high you'll go before 43 weeks on your own. That's great! Most docs would be inducing you by now around here. I hope you have your HB soon and intervention free and that some homeopathic stuff brings things along. Maybe a good massage will help. :) Good excuse for one anyway. hehe.

Thank you all for your support. We had another appointment this morning, and I am still closed up. Too much so to do the sweep, as they couldn't even get a finger in. I start this week with 2 NSTs and another ultrasound to check on baby, but still no rush. I can choose at any time to have an induction at the hospital if I like, but I am obviously not ready to make that choice at this time. I wish so much I didn't have sooo much stress around me with family begging me to have the baby. I am having a very difficult time with my mum right now.
Come on, baby! I'll keep updating as I can. 41 weeks tomorrow.
Come baby! Get out! I am so sorry Tegan. I know how everyday over feels like another year. It just isn't fun.:hugs
