Our company just implemented a new policy regarding personal days. They used to have a set amount of sick days and amount of caredays. They combined them and call them "personal days" and are unlimited! They are really big on work-life balance and feel that this is a great way of incorporating this policy. It also shows if people will misuse this policy.
I am taking my first personal day today with two sick girls at home;)

Actually I think it's like that at this company where I am going to be working too. They don't have a set amount, you just take a day off when you need to. Where I used to work had 10 sick days and 5 personal days a year.

Our sick policy sucks! We get up to 4 "occasions" of up to 4 days each and after that we move to an "attendance plan" (not punitive, just a pain) and we're only paid 66% for any further days off. We get 5 personal days per year but we have to pay back the time if we take one.

We accumulate 8 hours of sick and 8 hours of personal time each month. I believe after 4 years the amounts change to 12 hours each per month and after 8 years it changes to 16 hours each per month (that's top out as far as I know). There are a lot of "lifers" there and everyone except me in my immediate department is on top out.

We have unlimited sick time, 3 weeks vacation (for non-officers) and 6 personal... At my old job (since I'd been there for 5 years) I would have had 25 days (which included sick, vaca, personal, etc)

I get three personal days and 10 sick days a year.
I don't have any set sick/personal days or vacation days. I just take off when I need it and I can make up my days off if I want to or I can take a day with no pay
