We left around midnight and around 6 am the "check engine" light came on. Our air bag light also came on (there is a loose contector to where the side airbags would be if we had them - no big deal) so we assumed it just set the check engine light off. We still stopped and Sean checked everything out. It all seemed fine so we continued to drive with no issues...until 9:45 at night when we heard what sounded like a gun shot and the truck started rattling. We pull over and Sean looks to see what's up and calls a tow and his mom to pick us up. (Fortunately we were only about 45 minutes from their house.) When the tow got there the guy told us that it sounded like a spark plug had blown out of the engine and that he'd call us on Monday. We finally got an estimate Wednesday evening and were FREAKING out! He told us he couldn't guarantee that we'd be able to leave on Sunday. Fortunately it took less work and therefore less time and money. We were able to pick the truck up on Friday as we hoped.
What was wrong with the truck??? The guy was right, a spark plug got lose and shot out of the engine. It stripped the sleeve amd caused another plug to losen up. Unfortunately this is a common problem with Ford but they haven't fixed it obviously.

We left on Sunday around 11:30 pm. We had only been on the road for about 4 hours when I woke up to Sean cussing. He was freaked! I asked what was wrong and he said he couldn't get the truck to stop! He was standing on the brake with both feet but the engine kept accelerating. He was finally able to get it pulled to the side of the interstate by turning the engine off. We weren't sure what was wrong. The peddle wasn't stuck or anything. We were near a toll and a guy told Sean to check if the cable attached tot he throttle was frozen and to see if he could shake it lose. That did it and we were off again! ....until an hour and a half later when it started happening again. He shook it lose again; and I suggested not using the cruise control, that maybe it just wasn't releasing as it should. (this is another common thing- it's been recalled and we're taking it in again for it) We are assuming that was the problem cause we didn't have any more problems with it after that.
The check engine light came on in Kentucky. (Are you laughing yet???) We pulled off at the next exit and stopped at a garage. The guy told us it was the thermastat and it just need to be replaced but that we could easily get home without any issues with it. The rest of the trip home went well though we were nervous the entire way and have decided to rent cars for long trips from now on!

Onto the next post for the fun stuff!

Other than ALL the hell of the drive we had an awesome time! Sean's parents were awesome...we stayed with them. I have mentioned before that relations have been tense to say the least since we got engaged. Not this week! It was the same as when we were dating (before the whole engagement thing ). I helped with dinner a couple of nights while Kathy was working (it was a lot for her to let me, believe me.) We went out a LOT. I've put on a bit of weight but it was worth it and will come off quickly.
Monday night I went to David's Bridal with Becky (best friend, I'm her matron of honor in August). I got to see her in her dress( GORGEOUS!!!) and we picked out the dress for me and the other girl (her to be SIL). After that we went to Starbucks and chatted for a couple of hours. I didn't realize how much I missed her till then! We chat online and on the phone all the time but it's not the same.
Megan (SIL) and her hubby took Sean and I out on Tuesday to Bar Louie (http://www.barlouieamerica.com/milwaukee.html) for burgers. It was nice to just be the four of us.
Wednesday morning I went out with my grandma. We weighed in at LA and then went for breakfast and just chatted for a couple of hours. It was soooo nice! We haven't had time like that in a while now. Wednesday night we got together with my family and just hung out.
Thursday I had a "girls night" with Megan, Becky, Jessy and Crystal (2 of Megan's friends that were in her wedding). We had a BLAST!!! I have never had a night like that since I was pregnant before I turned 21 and just don't have the time for partying. We started with dinner at Olive Garden (hey, I was already blowing my diet with alcohol.. might as well have some yummy pasta right?! ) We then went to a bar for kareeokee (sp?) while we waited for another friend who never showed up. After that we wetn to Tangerine, a club downtown for ladies ngiht (free Absolute drinks and no cover). We hung out there till about 12 and then headed over to Buckeyes?? I think that was the name . Stayed there for a few drinks and headed home. We stopped at Jimmy Johns (http://www.jimmyjohns.com/) on our way home. After a shower, a bottle of water, my sub and a couple Tylenol (:giggle) it was after 3 and I went to bed. My lovely baby decided to wake up a few hours later but SEAN got to get up that morning. Amazingly enough I felt fine that morning! I was exhausted but not hurting from the acohol that my body is SO not used to. We're already talking about another girls' night the next time we're together. I'm so happy that Megan and I have gotten so close! She's defintely becoming a very very good friend.
Friday I stayed home with the family and Sean got to go out with his buddies. He was tired but I know he had fun.
Satruday we went to Chuck E Cheese with Sean's parents, brother, sister and BIL. Talk about draining! geez! We had a fun time though and Aidan absolutely loved it.
Sunday Sean whole family came by for brunch. It was really nice to get together with everyone....we are very happy we moved but we defintely miss our family. We napped in the afternoon while my ILs played with the boys and then had dinner with them that night before leaving.

I suppose that's it!
I'm going to upload some pics so hold tight!:D
