ive narrowed it down to the medela series...im just not sure which one to go with.

I really like the pump in style advanced but was looking around today and found the medela swing which is just the basic electric, but has all the same features as far as i can tell.

Im tying to decide how much im even going to be using the thing. Breastfeeding for me with gids was not something that worked out..i pumped all day long, or atleast what it felt like to boost my supply and help with inverted nipple ect but in the end..it just didnt work out. I rented a pump for 80 bucks a month from the pharmacy..it was a medela symphony and i loved the thing. i also bought a hand held advent but rarely used the thing as it just didnt work for me.

So the thing is, i want a breastpump, im determined to make this work this time around and i dont want to pay the pharmacy anywhere around 100 bucks a month to rent one, i had it for almost 3 months last time...i could of just bought one for that price.

Im hoping that this will just mainly be used for storing and what not of milk, and not to help increase the supply ect (im praying that i dont have to do that over again this time).

So what do you think?? would the swing be good enough for just basic use, or is it worth the money to just buy the in style from the get go.

A friend of mine had the swing and loved it. Next time around, I am going to get that one too.

but to be honest, if you can hold off pumping, at least at the beginning, you won't regret it. Pumping is such hard work and can be soul destroying (was at least for me). Not to mention, it doesn't always help with supply. There are much better ways (fennel tea, oatmeal, motillium (think thats it anyway), fenugreek and of course demand feeding).
