ok- they all do something that mortifies us, even if we only cringe internally, we do.

So- share, what is it- any outfit they have, jokes they tell, small habits they don't realise are not appropriate for polite company? Friends they chose to invite places.

What one aspect of your partner makes you really have to dig down deep and remember why you manage to overlook it? :giggle

Oh easily his lack of...discretion when it comes to...flatulence. Anytime, anywhere...

He is obsessed with wrestling, comic books, toys and video games. Sometimes it's like being married to a 12 year old.

He doesn't do this in front of anyone except me and the kids - thankfully - but he almost always licks his plate after eating. It's not that he does that that bothers me but the noise he makes when doing so. I just have to talk really loud or leave the room. Something about it - and it's not a really loud noise and not like he's doing it on purpose, it's just the noise when he sticks his tongue out - that grates my nerves. ((Shudder))

I'd have to go with the flatulence, too.

Spitting. He is always spitting when outside, every 2 seconds. It drives me nuts, and I think it is disgusting. It's not like coughing up phlegm spitting, thank god, but still! I don't think he even realizes how much he does it and it's embarrassing talking to people and he's spitting all the time.

Talking.....WAY TO MUCH!! OMGosh...the man can talk and talk and talk and talk...you get the point. And it's not so bad that he is so talkative, it's the things that just come out of his mouth that always have me thinking....WTH are you thinking?? :lmao

Well, Brian doesn't do this in public thankfully but something that I find just annoying is he FARTS (yes, I will say fart vs flatulence :lmao) like nobody's business. And, they do not even smell.... seriously. He has scent free farts, but they are LOUD and extremely disgusting.

He has this really super annoying habit of laying in bed before he gets up and farting up a storm. I'm so thankful that they don't smell, and most of the time I just pretend to be sleeping still, but..... ick :makesick

As far as public behavior goes, I have to say that I am pretty happy.... he's friendly, fun, outgoing, kind, considerate, a good conversationalist, and an all around super super nice guy :)

This is a pet peeve of mine, but Sean tends to walk around with a very unhappy look on his face. Even if he's perfectly happy, he walks around looking like either his dog just died or like he wants to punch the person who ran his dog over. It drives me insane, because I always think something is wrong, or people think he's annoyed about something. I wish he'd just keep a freaking smile on his face! But when he's thinking about something, his look of concentration looks a lot like being upset or angry, so I think that's why. I think it's rude, though, and that he should make an effort to look a bit more welcoming.

But that's really it. He is otherwise unfailingly polite. I don't think I've ever heard him fart in my presence, much less in front of others. So now the mad-face thing is seeming a lot less bad. :giggle

Has your husband had his iron level's checked? I also check ice as much as possible. My iron level's were very low. My doctor said that a side effect of low iron is eating ice.

Now my husband talks way to much. he just seems to go on and on when he is talking to someone and the next thing you know he is telling family secrets, embrassing moments, anything he can just to keep talking. I just stand there staring at him like WTH are you doing, shut up. Than I walk away as I just can't listen anymore. lol

I'd say that it's when he babbles on about his very difficult to understand, hi-tech job. People just sit there and stare blankly. LOL

Hmmm...maybe his lack of ability to read people's interest in what he's talking about. Sometimes he will keep talking when I can clearly see that the other person isn't interested anymore. :p

my ex-wife used to purposely drip something on her chin while eating and not wipe it off or lick it off till later. ack!

and she only took a full bath once a week. ack!ack! ack!

His gas. Ohhhh lourdy his gas!!!! Its so bad it makes the guys at work ill when they walk into an area he's been in because it doesn't go away is just lingers. :makesick

And he's a gabber. He goes on & on & On & ON....and normally its him having a 2 sided conversation with himself while talking to someone else. As in going over a convo he's had previous with someone w/ someone new. Makes me think "Valley High" the way he does the "then he said.....and I go.....then he goes...." I find myself thinking if I just :bagover: no one would see me & I could slink away. But then I feel guilty for leaving the poor soul vulnerable like that.

But I do :love the monkey.

Hey Beka, You forgot to add what David does to drive you batty :P

:lmao hmmm- I did didn't i?

I have to say it's the public dancing that does it for me... as many of you will know David stands out, alot, he's odd looking and large (both tall and big) but he still has the spritely "not 300lb+ 19 year old" mentality and will quite merrily dance in the street and act like a small child- Chase is entirely mortified by it (to the point she'll ask me to fetch her, not him, in fear he may start doing his best Britney in the presence of her new friends- her old friends just roll their eyes, they're used to it LOL) Jude thinks it's just awesome and Dyl rolls her eyes... worryingly the baby seems to think it's entirely normal behaviour.

Same goes for the random singing- he'll just burst out singing for no reason, or worse, sing AT me in public- yep, that's pretty bad if you're having a bad day and really don't want the world staring at you.

He'll also call people on bad manners if we're out and they're rude, pushy, impolite- he'll merrily tell them as much (which is both cringeworthy and amusing at the same time because in reality maybe more of us should do it)

Yep I'd have to say my main embarassing aspect of David has to be his willingness to blatently do the things like dance, sing and comment on peoples behaviour at times when the rest of us would only do it behind closed doors or when we thought no one else was watching/listening.

I have a new one. Picking at his skin all the darn time.

I think it is turning into a form of OCD to be honest, but it is still a little embarrassing.

the constant talk about sports.. who is doing what..what team is doing this or that... but I have fine-tuned the ability to tune him out.

Definitely the songs. Daniel will make up a song about anything, and I think that perhaps Flight of the Conchords was following him around or something, because so freaking many of their songs sound like something Daniel would do. There's the ever pleasant "sexy lady" songs. Whatever I'm doing, I know I can count on him coming up behind me to sing hits like, "Sexy Lady in the Kitchen", usually followed by the less popular "Sexy Lady Hittin' Me (Ow!)".

Definitely avoid dancing with him whenever I can...love him to pieces but the man CAN NOT DANCE!!!
