So there is this newish service in town called Carefree Chef. (www.carefreechef.com)

Every month they change the menu. You call at least 48hrs ahead and let them know which meals you pick (min. of four meals). You book your 'session and go into the place to prepare the meals to take home and freeze.

Each meal feeds about six people and is about $26-28/meal. It works out to about $4/person per meal....not too shabby;)

We keep forgetting about this, but I am going to use it when I return to work full-time. It won't leave me with the "what to make for dinner" blues and each meal is fresh, healthy and affordable. Better than eating out for sure.

We have some of those around here. I haven't tried it, but a few friends have and they really liked it.

I think that's a great service for people that are really pressed for time. But to be quite honest, that's more than I'm willing to spend on an average meal. I've made as many as 15 meals and frozen them for $100. All it takes is a couple hours and some time planning. But if it's a good deal for you, go for it!

We have a few places like that here too that I haven't checked out. During the summers when all the girls are home, I do have our groceries delivered because it is just sooooo much easier. Spoiled I am!:giggle
