should i be concerned??

i keep having random spotting off and on for a week or so now, im sure its stress. I didnt go to work for 4 days last week and it stopped, now ive dealt with the bank all day today and its been a mess and nothing but a headache that has left me in tears and the spotting has started again. Its only there when i go the washroom and wipe...but its still there.

im going to call my doc tomorrow, but until than im just a bit concerned from other peoples worries...basically the friends telling me i need to go to the hospital now ect ect...they wont take me at the mat ward until 32 weeks so i would sit in emergency all night...at which point i could have just stayed home and called the doctor in the morning. im 26 weeks at the point..

what do you ladies think?

I would definately call your doctor this morning (sorry I didn't read this earlier- UK time delay and all that)

Spotting can be perfectly normal with hormone fluctuations (many women spot or even have a small period around the time their regular period would have been if not pg, throughout pregnancy.) however any bleeding in pregnancy needs reporting to the doctor/midwife to get a professional opinion.

I would also talk to them about the stress you are experiencing, they may advise taking maternity leave/sick leave early.

Keep us posted.

I agree with Beka. I hope you're ok. Did you call the Dr?

sorry ladies, i just got back..

well i went in to see the doc today

they dont have an after hours call line i could call and didnt want to run up to the maternity ward as im not even sure i can go there without going to emerg first until im 32 weeks i think

but however, i was seen today and she says everything looks fine. Blood pressure is good, she did an internal and the cervix ect looks fine..

we havent had sex in a few weeks, so im pretty sure it didnt start from that, but she said to watch it and it it continues they will send me for an ultrasound...umm ok shouldnt they have done that anyways as they cant tell from the outside what the placenta is doing??

however im just glad everything looks ok and something less to worry about

i didnt talk to her about stress leave ect, but i probably should have. Im done work in 2 weeks and just hoping to ride it out until than.
