Educational Portable Toy for Girls

Danae is three and is not really into computer games however loves to watch Michael play. I am looking into getting her something that would entertain her in restaurants for example. Something nice and portable I can stick in the "diaper bag". She is a stereotypical girl (much to my dismay). Its so hard to find educational games that interest her. Any ideas?

Is she old enough for Lego or little figures such as polly pocket

orrr...has she discovered Littlest Petshop yet? It always keeps my girls occupied during times. Colouring or drawing always gets them busy too. You could get a maga-doodle.
