or if not diagnosed, when did the doctors start recognizing there were issues? Did you suspect first?

Liam was diagnosed just after he turned four. We started the testing process when he was three and a half after too many things began to add up. It wasn't any one thing, but when you laid out all of the odd things he did and looked at them it was clear that something was off.

As Ian neared his 1st birthday and wasn't trying to pull up at all, we began to push our pediatrican. At 15 months, Ian still wasn't walking, so we questioned the ped again. Still nothing...let's wait a bit longer, he said. At Ian's 18 month appt. our ped finally took it seriously and sent us to a neurologist and set us up with Early Intervention. Ian began receiving services a few months later. The neuro ran test after test after test, and found nothing. We still don't have a true diagnosis. Ian has hypotonia (global weak muscle tone) and appraxia of speech. His school "label" is developmental delay so he can receive services.
