That poor girl has lost it ....

I was just coming to post this. Holy crap!

I don't care what she does with her hair, but I do worry about her emotional being at this point. If she wasn't having so many emotional issues right now, I don't think it would be so disturbing. But knowing that she checked herself in and out of rehab in 24 hours and everything else, it's clear she has some major issues.

Not her best look. Demi Moore looked much hotter bald.

:lightbulb Maybe she quit kabalah and switched to hari krishna! LOL

I think her mental stability has to be slipping at this point. Not every woman can pull off bald- and a POP star at that, not some underground punk band or something.

Dear god, maybe Kevin is a better choice for custodial parent, after all :(

Shana, are you basing that on the fact that she has an unusual hairstyle?

I couldn't care less if she is bald or grew purple spotted hair down to her ankles...that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not she is a good mom. The rehab stuff, sure. But the hair is pretty insignificant, imo.

What she did to her hair is not insignificant AT ALL though, she is obviously very mentally unstable and that has been proven time and againand again with her shaving her head herself. I would think the best person to take care of her kids right now is her mom. I really feel sorry for her. I hope she can get her act together.

I guess it just proves that money doesn't buy happiness.

It's not the hair in itself, it's the fact that within 48 hours she had:
checked herself into rehab
checked herself out of rehab
shaved her head
got a tattoo
got something pierced.

Within the last two months she's had a baby, got a divorce, showed the world her shaved crotch, was BFF with Paris Hilton, and has been running amok at the bars.

I say that the woman appears to be cracking up.

Normally, I think a shaved head can be a sign of confidence in a woman. In this instance, it seems worrisome. I do think the hair itself is insignificant, but I don't think her behavior is. However, I wish the media would stop giving her attention.

The more I think about the wierder it seems. At first I though it was just another idiotic thing to do, and she would wear wigs untill her hair was long enough to get her extensions put back in.
But there are actually pictures of her shaving her head.....to do it where you knew people were watching and taking pictures, well, it's like a little hissy fit I'm used to seeing from a teenager. Very Empire Records, early 90's grunge, supposed to be making some statement.
If it was just a hair cut she wouldn't have done it herself in front of cameras and other people.
IMO- she can't handle what she signed up for and now she's cracking.

She seems to me to be a woman whose emotional growth was stunted as a child. Seriously. She's been acting in recent months like a little kid with big kid money and access.

I agree Christine and it is really very sad :( she grew up so fast and I think she is going through the finding herself stage that most of us did as teens but the fame is too much for her.

I think if you add possible PDD in the mix as well and it is no wonder she is going off the rails.

What makes me sick is that the poor girl is going through a crisis, she is obviously having severe mental health issues and people are using it for entertainment. I know with fame comes no privacy, but I hate seeing a mentally unwell person being made a laughing stock in the media. She did sign up for fame for sure, she hasn't exactly helped her case either but leave the poor girl alone to get over her issues because having it plastered everywhere sure isn't going to help her. Again, she signed up for this but I hate the darn media I really do. I happen to think no one famous should get so much press anyway because after all they are just people and no more important than anyone else out there.

Yeah that.

I don't usually care for Britney Spears, but there is something very sad about this.

I agree with you Sam, up to a point.

This girl (and her entourage) have courted extreme fame for most of her life. It IS sad, and I agree that no one should be laughed at because of mental instability. But the fame part of it - well, that's her own doing.

I totally get that the media gets WAY too into people's business but a lot of those celebrities - and ESPECIALLY Ms. Spears - court that fame and eat it for breakfast. She has gone out of her way to make SURE that she's at the center of everyone's radar for years and years. What, has it been somewhere around 8 years that she's been the pop princess? She really can't expect the media to just back off and let her have some space because she's having a rough time. Besides, with her money and access, she could go off to some remote country and stay out of the limelight all she wants. Brad and Angelina managed to do that in the midst of huge media scrutiny. It can be done. I still stand by the idea that some of this attention -whether good or bad - is what she wants.

The way she's currently behaving - and the fact that I've been unable to avoid hearing about it even though I have no television, listen only to NPR, and have hardly left my house in a week - makes me think she's definitely using the media, but to what end, I don't think even she knows. I remember that in my most depressed and suicidal days, I reached a point where I behaved irrationally in front of people, partially as a cry for help, partially because I'd gotten far enough to have some fascination in others' unwillingness or inability to help me. I get the impression Ms. Spears is being self destructive in public on similar impulses. No one CAN stop her. She's a grown woman with a lot of money and a lot of control over her own destiny, and I think there's something extra destructive in cracking up in front of people.

Shana, are you basing that on the fact that she has an unusual hairstyle?.Gosh, no. I also don't give a crap what anyone does with their hair. It's just what everyone else has already pointed out.... and it is very, very sad.

I am actually to the point where everyone stops laughing and gets her help instead. Everyone seems to have this opinion now....I don't care that she shaved her head, I want her to get HELP for her emotional state.

I think she has the potential to be a good mom, but needs help with her mental wellbeing

I've heard more about Brittany Spears in the last few months than I ever wanted to know, but I do find the way the media is covering this is very odd. Today I saw her shaving her head described as an escalation of her bizarre behavior. Maybe it's just me, but I consider flashing your vagina to the press a whole lot more bizarre than shaving your hread.

Jejune

Lori, sheesh. I thought you knew that just everyone is out there flashing their vaginas to the press. Heck, Trump had one installed just to be able to flash it.

Now, shaving your head is something only a truly disturbed person would do.
