I made my sister a Booga for xmas and decided to make her a Calorimetry to match. I decided to make one for myself first to see how it came out. I cast on 88 sts, because I read that the 120 the pattern calls for is just way too big. Since I'm a tight knitter with a big head, it came out too snug. Lesson learned. The next one I cast on 96 (my sister has a big head too) and it came out right. I found out my sis doesn't wear headbands though, so I guess the 2nd one is mine too.

I can see why people love this pattern. They're really cute and it took less than 2 hours to make one.

cute! i wish my sister would make me one (but since she's not exactly crafty, I don't see it happening)

They look great!

I made one for a friend for Christmas and then realized (like a slap in the face) that she would never wear it. Now I'm gifting it to another friend that swooned over the one I made for myself. Live and learn, right? ;)

Thanks, ladies.

Christine, no doubt. I probably should have checked before I started making it. Oh well, it was easy enough.

And I just realized I should have put this in the gallery. Oops.

I love them! Calorimetry is one of my favorite patterns. It's so straightforward and fast, but there's enough shaping going on to make it interesting.

Super cute! I have a weird habit of making my sister a knit headband of a different sort every few months. Perhaps Caliometry should be next.

Thanks, Lori and Kristen. :)

And Kristen, did you notice the pics? Instead of slapping them down wherever I happened to be and snapping a photo, I put some effort into it. Really does make a difference. LOL
