Yeah, so I almost got into a HUGE accident today!

I was waiting at a red light along with 3 other cars (one way street with 4 lanes). The light turned green and I happened to get distracted by a co-worker standing on the corner. She threw her hands up and was like "Oh my God" so I paused but the other cars proceeded through the intersection. Well, what she was reacting to was a guy coming from the other direction and heading FULL SPEED through the red light! He plowed into the other 3 cars (sort of a chain reaction effect) and I was left behind with all of this happening right in front of my face. It was so crazy, I could see parts flying everywhere. I realized I was fine and hadn't been hit but I stopped and gave my card to the people involved in case they needed a witness.

I told my co-worker she saved my ass with her dramatic reaction! What a close call! Thankfully, no one was hurt just a lot of really damaged cars.

I was shaking after it really sunk in Erika, I was like "wow, I could have been killed".

It's scary when things like that happen and you realize that if you hadn't ____, then you would have been involved also.

Thanksgiving 2005, I got a flat tire in Eric's car on the highway coming home from work. It had JUST started sleeting and this guy comes and helps me. Of course I'm a tad defensive about some guy stopping to help me cuz hey, you never know. He was super-nice, put on my spare and I was on my way. I get closer to home and there is a horrible accident on one of the main streets. I get there right as the ambulance is pulling up. Which means the accident happened in the last 15 mins. If I hadn't had a flat tire, I could have been right there when it happened, time-wise.

It's freaky when things like that happen.
