Halfway done with teacher gifts!

Yay! I found a couple patterns on Ravelry (have I told you how much I love this site?) that were quick and easy with super bulky yarn. I made up a twin cabled purse (http://www.yarniverse.com/page.htm?PG=FreePatterns) in a deep plum with round black handles and the same purse in a bright "lemongrass" green with reddish wood handles. Those will go to M's and K's teachers.

Now I need to whip off two pairs of chunky cabled slippers without getting bored with the pattern. :giggle Then I'm done with teacher gifts!!

Those are so cute! What kind of yarn did you use?

I was going to use Jiffy Thick and Quick, but most of the colorways were just too bold for what I wanted. I found a Wool-Ease Thick and Quick that was in solid colors and picked out several that I liked. Those colors are plum and lemongrass I think (?).

I was thinking of knitting gifts for T's teachers, and then my parents both strongly hinted that they wanted knit socks for Christmas (which they'll be getting after Christmas ;)), so I decided to go with cookies for the teachers. Maybe next year I'll be on the ball enough!
