ALL member WARNING- scam emails!!!! READ!!!!

It has come to my attention early this morning (when most of our members are probably in bed) that many of you are recieved a SPAM/SCAM email from a newly signed up member of Spiffy.

PLEASE do not give out ANY details- banking or personal information, or even reply to these emails, please forwarded them to Spiffy staff & admin as we are aware this is happening and will be taking appropriate action to keep our members safe and our community a spam-free one.

These emails are a well known internet fraud scam, you can search them on snopes.com and it has a whole list of them, please do not for one second think your helping someone is going to make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. When it comes to email please remember this- if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Thanks for letting us know Beka. I hate those stupid scams. And you would think the people who write them would learn how to use proper English they are so ridiculous. I got one and deleted it.

I have deleted that user and banned the email address. After I get back from getting the kids off the school, I will email all of our members to update them.

Also-for everyone-Members cannot ever see anyone's email addresses. That means these are being sent through profiles which go through Spiffymoms. As long as you don't reply in any way, he will never know your email address.

I am new to site but locally we had a elderly couple come into a little money from death of a family member. They were involved with the home-less and needed a building which this was not enough money to buy. A skam e-mail came telling them they had won millions and they were asked to pay the EXACT amount of money to have a courier bring to them. Noone knows even now how they got this exact amount of money. It was not a guess amount but the skammer wasn't too smart either.

They became superious and thank goodness did not send it but because they answered and gave out their basics some how they got ALL their information and they took their identity and cleaned out their savings, checking, cashed CD's, ordered things on their credit cards and maxed out all in three days.
They banked with a bank that was large and did not personally know them.

Now they have nothing. They had even started the sale on their house and vehicles when it was stopped. FBI got in on it but couldn't trace anything.

I'm glad I live in a small town. If anyone tried to cash my CD or my savings, someone from the bank would call to confirm it. Thats because I know a lot of people in the bank. There are only three branches. This makes me know that I will not change to a large bank no matter the benefits.
