Today I had to do something I hate doing and had managed to not have to do before. James was out and my mother had to go to a funeral so I had nobody to look after Sasha when I had ONE student tonight. So the little miss was put into a sling and came to class with me.

My student is a sweetheart and was really excited to meet Sasha. Sasha was pretty interested as well. Now, Sash has been teething like nobody's business this week and was in a very cranky mood anyway but she was ok in the evening.

Well every time my student started playing (I teach violin and viola), Sasha wailed. And I mean heartbreaking sobs with tears streaming down her face. My poor baby. My poor student. My poor nerves! I ended up having to cut the lesson short and not charge her (well how could I!).

Sasha eventually calmed down and I got her to bed fairly soon afterwards. When James got home, he was told very sternly that he is not allowed leave on Thursday nights again:giggle (he was at his ninjutsu class but can go on Monday's and Saturdays from now on).

:violin - is it just cruel to post that?

:eek not a good situation to have baby who does not like violin in a house of a violin teacher- no idea what to suggest other than all of mine have hit wierd phases with odd things that are very very short lived so i doubt it'll last- how is she normally if you play?

:lmao you brat!!

Beka, she is usually fine. I think she was just tired and wanting time with mama alone. that said, I think she prefers percussion instruments. She certainly adores her own.

O and sidenote - she turned 6 months yesterday :D My baby is at the half year mark, can you believe it!

nooooo- she can't be that big yet! More power to her on the percussion line though- female drummers are a growing breed, fully expect to see her on the Brits one day ;)

Ohhh yeah...that's definitely something to look forward too...Miss Sasha behind an enormous stack!

I'm sorry she was so upset by the playing though.

I've taught a fair number of students with Z on my lap...it is NO fun for sure!!! Normally the moms of my students watch her, but sometimes she just won't have that!
