Did you enter your yarn stash? If not, are you planning on it? I wasn't going to until I thought about it and realized how handy it would be to have it all listed in one place. That way if I want to know if I have something, I don't have to dig through tons of yarn just to check. It's pretty damn time-consuming though and I've come to the realization that I have more yarn than I thought I did. I told DH not to let me buy more yarn no matter what I say.

I'm still working on mine, and I haven't photographed most of it. When I was entering some of my Rowanspun, that was when I realized how much I have. (57 skeins, if you count the 7 skeins I just used. So 50 now.) I just bought more yarn, though. :o I was in L.A. and we went to Knit Cafe. How could I not buy a skein at Knit Cafe? It has a purpose, though. My mom liked my Clementine Shawlette, and I'm going to make her one. I'm worried, though. I bought the Colinette Jitterbug despite a nagging feeling I had that I'd heard something bad about it. It's gorgeous, and it feels nice. Then I looked it up on Ravelry, and to my horror, it's the exact yarn that got the most complaints on a thread about bad yarns. My mom wanted blue and brown, and that's what I got, but if it turns out to bleed and fade and felt, I'm going to feel pretty stupid.
Um, and that's off the topic of stash. I don't even want to think about how much I have, though my stash looks pretty modest when I look at other people's.
I'm still waiting on my invite, but when I get it I'm a bit afraid that if I were to enter my stash (it's relatively small) I would be laughed off of the website for being such crappy stuff :rofl

Kristen, I was thinking of making my mom either the Swallowtail shawl or Ene's Scarf from Scarf Style for xmas. And I really like the pics of your yarn. Mine is all boring. I just tossed on a white sheet and snapped a pic. I'm a crappy photographer anyways. I might try taking some pretty ones though.
Val, it's all good. :) I have a LOT of Caron Simply Soft and Lily Sugar n' Cream. Mine isn't all fancy stuff either.

Oh, both of those are gorgeous! I think I like the Swallowtail just a little better, but they're both amazing patterns. And thanks! I have a crappy point and shoot camera, but I'm trying to get good at using it so I can justify a nice SRL soon. LOL
Val, Caron Simply Soft is the number 4 stashed yarn at Ravelry! The top yarns are mostly practical and cheap. There have also been a lot of threads on lack of yarn snobbery.
Me, I've developed a taste for good yarn, but I'm cheap and generally buy them at enormous discount. LOL

That makes me feel so much better! I have a few higher priced yarns, but it's usually just one skein at a time. I do have two significant piles of wool that are very nice, but it was bought for projects that were never completed.
I started entering my stash this morning. The only things I have pictures for are the ones I dyed myself. I put in all my needles too and was amazed at the doubles I have. :giggle
