Apparently they are the hottest trend in 2007. I had no idea until HGTV told me last night.:giggle

Here is a link to one in case you haven't seen one yet:

Would you get one for your house?

Uh, no. I think that looks a little bit disturbing. And I am normally a huge fan of anything black...like I'd prefer for all the furniture in my house to be black. But not my Christmas tree. :p

Are we pretending I have $300 around to drop on something we don't need?
I really wouldn't pay that much for ANY tree. Sure the expensive trees look so much nicer, but I can't justify it.
I think a lot of my ornaments would show really nicely on a black tree. So that may be one plus, that instead of kinding getting lost in the tree the ornaments I have would pop more.

I could see it looking really good in some sort of department-store Christmas display, but it's not something I'd want in our house.

We've having our first Christmas at home in 6 years, and so we need to get a tree for the first time. I think we're going to go with a small real tree. If we did get an artificial tree, I wouldn't get one that expensive or that black. ;)

I checked "no" but then I looked at the picture. I still wouldn't have one in my house (depressing, and doesn't go with our decor) but I think they would be neat at like a Christmas ball or a Christmas event in a huge, fancy building. So it's "no" for personal use but if I were decorating a hall for a formal Christmas event I'd consider it. ;)

No, I'm a fan of a nice real tree, I love the smell and look of a live green tree! I could do without the needles all over though!

I think it looks cool. I'd get one.

I've never had an artificial tree before, so I voted "no".

Pretty! If we did artificial trees, I'd get one. :)

ETA: But I'd have to get one that was unlit or used LED bulbs.

I actually really like it, especially with coloured lights :)

I think it is the white lights. Get some multi coloured ones I think it would look a lot less depressing.

I actually didn't think it looked that bad... but it doesn't go with my earth-toned living room, so I'd have to pass... it's a cool tree, though.

I wouldn't buy one, but it isn't nearly as ugly as I envisioned before clicking the link.

Not for me. But I'm considering an all white one this year. :giggle

I love white trees :) we had one once and it was really quite lovely.

I agree Mary that it would look nice as a decoration for a fancy Christmas party or something.

I guess I am more for the traditional green tree because I am not too fond of the white ones they have either.

I wouldn't but I guarantee that Krysten would love it if I did.

No, I like green trees. I don't think it's depressing but I don't like it at all.

I voted no but then after looking for a bit it is growing on me. BUT we buy live trees.

I would consider it...I saw one the other day here, for a whole lot less than $300...and with coloured lights and silver and jewel tone ornaments it looks stunning.

Nope, they remind me of bin liners (trash sacks) not a good look for christmas- we've had them here the last 2 or 3 years but this year they seem to be everywhere.

Like Lori i see them as kind of quirky for a department store display but as a home tree? Fruglee.

I voted "other". I don't dislike it but it probably wouldn't be my first choice. We usually get a real tree as well.
