Pretty much. It's one thing to have honest and reasoned concerns about the state of our borders and fears of terrorism, it's another to blatantly try to manipulate people's fears.

I think that's to the point. I hate that kind of ad. He didn't offer a solution. It was just a variation on the Lyndon Johnson ad about how Barry Goldwater will kill us all (http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/candidates/ad.archive/daisy_long.mov).

It's amazing how different this commerical comes off when you're using an ancient computer that you DH hasn't found the old speakers to-I can't hear a thing and thought it was all about beware of people (couldn't tell the gender) with hoodies on and backpacks. 'Cause they'll kill ya.
