but he is a "level 1" which is "you can do it now or later" type of thing. This second dentist was much better and explained things better. Tanner seemed to jive with him much better too.

So he would get full set of braces, a tripod to lift up his back teeth and correct his deep bite and some kind of appliance behind his front teeth to correct his over bite.

This dentist comes highly recommended by almost everyone I work with, lol. He is a dentist that does braces and only in extreme cases will he refer you to a specialist. He is also $1500 cheaper, which excactly the price point of what our insurance covers.

So we won't have to pay a penny, get this done and over with in 15mo and not have to worry about anything else.

Don't worry, its not just the pricepoint that made us like him better.

T is 12 yrs old and in Grade 7. I would much rather he starts this process while still in elementary school and he will finish it up at the end of grade 8 (1st year of HS).

Poor guy! I can still 'feel' the pain of braces to this day. But this is definitely the perfect age to get them. I had them at the same time and they made me feel 'grown up'. A few years later and I would have felt silly.

its such a tough decision, but since they are free we may as well get them done now. Who knows where we will be employment wise in a few years from now, ya know?

Jo, do they freeze you when applying the braces?

Gotta love the braces! I am taking Dylan in to the dentist in a month and we will be finding out if Braces will be needed.
