View Full Version : Anybody else being dumped with snow today?

We are supposed to get 8-13" in the Chicagoland area today. Today sounds like a perfect day to work from home and avoid the 75 mile commute. The only problem is that I don't have any soda in the house and I need that in the morning. I drink that instead of coffee. *sigh* I don't know if Xander's school is closed or not, so he might be going in to school today too. It's only 2 blocks from our house.
We're supposed to be getting 5-9", but it hasn't started yet. I kept Thomas home anyway, though, because I didn't want to have to dig out the car and drive through a storm if it started to get bad.

That was our final reasoning in keeping Xander home. I don't want to dig out this afternoon and go get him. So everybody, except me, is sleeping in. I've been up since 5 watching the news. And I have to work all day from home. Bleah.
Oh well, at least I'll be nice and warm :D
we got 6 inches for the first time in 25 years in my county the other day- shut the majority of schools around here it was such a shock
yes us. 8-12 with blizzard conditions. My work even closed today!!!! YAY

Yup! It's snowing here as we speak and I have a 45 minute commute home ahead of me!

We were supposed to maybe get 5". So far, it's doing nothing!

This is the first REAL snow we've gotten this season so I'm excited!! We have about 2 1/2 inches so far and we're supposed to get anywhere from 6-12 inches!!! Schools are having early dismissal here today. The snow is supposed to be heaviest tonight. We're going to have a snow covered Valentine's Day!

yep....all of our schools are closed today. Lucky ducks!
We are so supposed to get like 6 inches, so far it has just been ice! The kids are home from school today and if it keeps it up I am sure they will be home again tomorrow! I am so ready for Summer!!!
Not dumped but it is snowing. Last I heard it was only 1-3 inches.
