View Full Version : Yoga for kids recommendations?
Mira is seriously into yoga. They do it at her school and she loves it! She always wants me to put on my yoga DVD which is actually a pilates DVD. I try to avoid it because I would rather her have something more suited to her.
Does anyone have any ideas? What did your kids like if you got them one?
I noticed one of Thomas' friends had a yoga DVD at home. I'll ask her mom what it was and if she likes it.
I have never seen any dvds here but i am sure they do them- you could do what my mother did, take a class yourself and teach her, my mother was very big on yoga when we were tiny and as a result even at pushing 30 when i sit i automatically fold into lotus! (much to the amusement of many!)

Honestly, the only thing I do is put on one of my own yoga DVDs, and James follows along and does what he can. We love that time together, and he is really good at it. He does yoga in his preschool too, and next year I'll be putting him into one of the animal yoga classes around here. I think there are 18 studios within walking distance from my place, so we're ready when he's in Kindergarten to put him into a class.

How funny - Nora had her first yoga class today! The teacher recommended a DVD called Yoga Kids.
