View Full Version : As you lose weight, what do you do with all those 'fat' clothes?
Do you burn them in a fit of glee?:rofl
Or perhaps do something a bit more legally and environmentally responsible such as donate them?:giggle

I donated mine to a local women's shelter. I never wanted to look at them again! I HIGHLY recommend getting rid of them! That "just in case" attitude is dangerous!

LOL no idea - they'll probably go to my local womens shelter.
Last time I lost weight (40 pounds on weight watchers) was when Cailin was little. I kept the fat clothes because I knew we would be having atleast one more kid in the future. Now that we have Brayden I can't use that excuse anymore.
This time I don't know what I'll do.
I donated my last round to the Lupus Foundation. They simply were doing pick ups in my neighborhood at the time. I need to give away more because my clothes are starting to look ridiculous on me but I haven't had time to go shopping for new ones. So I am stuck for now if I don't want to be naked in the middle of winter.

I donate them as QUICKLY as possible.. that way when something doesn't fit I don't have a "back up" so it is okay if it takes a bit... I'd have to either loose it again or buy new clothes, buying new clothes isn't an option very often for me.
There are all sorts of drop boxes around my communities I'm in so I just drive by even if it is only one or two pairs of pants and drop them in. I think it is Planet Earth or something. If I do a mass clean out I call Purple Heart or First Step (women's shelter here).

its my first fat time but I do think Ill burn them in a ritual...or take em to goodwill

When I lost weight, I gave them to the local charity store. :)

I still wear them, because some of the shirts I really like, and right now I can't go and get a new wardrobe.
I generally donate mine to the salvation army here in town. I need to go t hrough my clothes again. Not that I have a ton of fat clothes but I have tons of clothes in general that I don't wear.

Well in my house I wonder what will happen because It seems to be forbidden by law any of my DW's clothes.
