So what healthier stuff did we all eat for dinner tonight?

I had turkey polish sausage with sliced red potatos. I cooked them in pan spray and spray butter. Turned out really good. No vegie though. I need to work on that.

Since I was in class during dinner I had a Special K protein bar, a Power Bar trail mix nut bar, and then a small bowl of stew (mostly veggies and potatoes) for a finish.

I sat muttering about hating my husband and his new lifestyle whilst eating red & white cabbage salad with grilled sausages (been a bad week for grocery- David shopped :rolleyes and forgot I don't eat like the rest of the family and yet spent all the money we had to spend on feeding the other 5 so i am making do)

I am drinking my water too and Jude is joining me (though if he pees himself in school today he may have to cut back a tad LOL)

Shhhhh.... I had pizza. In my defense I ate super light during the day to make up for it. I had vegetable soup for lunch, and just a bowl of cereal for breakfast- oh! and an apple for snack.

I had a spinach/whole wheat roll... wait, I had 2 of those - with marinara sauce (not doused, just a little bit of dipping). Two of the rolls can fit in my palm. They're not large at all. Then, I had a tea... because I was SO DONE with water!

I had dry chilli chicken with onions and mushrooms and peas on a bed of rice. It wasn't bad at all! Sasha like it too LOL

I went to the supermarket yesterday and they had salsa on sale - half off. I checked the dates and, apparently, salsa lasts a while. (I bought THREE) I think it goes bad in '09 LOL Anyway, I'm a real hot food, freak, so I'm looking forward to having SOMETHING with my medium salsa tonight... woo hoo :D

I'm making sesame tofu with spinach with brown rice and steamed buns. I think the buns are pretty gross, but we had a book with a pig who eats too many steamed buns, and Thomas has been dying to try them, so I finally gave in.

Tonight should be much healthier than last night. Baked chicken, veggies, and fruit. Maybe some baked beans that have been in my cupboard for WAY too long.

I made pot of chunky soup on Sunday to last a couple of days. It has chicken, but mostly veggies, some beans and re potatoes.
I had that yesterday and today with some saltine crackers...even though I went past the 6-cracker-one serving bit.
Topped it off with Chrystal light.
Just a little worried that maybe I ate too much soup. lol

Well, on Sunday I made.....

Okay, seriously, on Sunday I made these 2 marinara sauces - 1 with shrimp & spicy tomato & basil sauce, 1 with homemade meatballs & marinara sauce. Both had freshly chopped veggies.

So, we ate that for dinner last night plus another side of veggies. DH prepares dinner most nights during the week.

Tonight he made breaded fish, the pasta as a side dish & veggies.

I haven't really eaten much all week because I have this horrible nasty painful toothache, so I have to eat soft mushy foods. The dentist can't come soon enough!

Last night we had chicken burritos with salsa and ff sour cream. The chicken was leftover chicken breast that had been cooked in a crockpot with salsa. Yummy but not totally "core" (the plan I'm using).

Tonight we're having shrimp, pineapple and fresh green beans over whole wheat spaghetti.

Tonight we're having spinach and cheese burritos with spicy oven-fried potato wedges (http://healthy.hillbillyhousewife.com/potatowedges.htm), which I think are soooooooooo good. It's by far my favorite recipe for oven fries.

And I'm starving for some reason, so I'm hoping Sean leaves work at 5 and we can eat early!
