Are you a mom that works outside the home? What do you do? Do you enjoy it? How long have you done it for?

I do. Right now I teaching two writing classes at a college. It's very part-time (I'm only in the classroom 6 hours a week), but it pays pretty well for the hours I work, and I really like doing it. I'm still on the fence about whether I should look for a full-time job in the near-future or not, but right now I'm really happy with my job. I have really wonderful students this term, which is always a plus.

I work at a county jail as a Correctional Officer. I really do enjoy it. Right now, I am working nights. I prefer days, though. I have worked there for almost 5 months now.

Yep... I'm an accountant for a Swiss Investment bank... I work in the Equities department as a Controller. Tomorrow marks week 4 for me. Before this, I was an International Tax Manager for 5.17 years. I LOVE what I do. When I'd realized, at the end of four years of college, that I really wanted to be an investment banker and NOT a math prof, I never thought I'd be able to realize my dream...

I'm about to go back to being a fulltime student...that's gotta count, right?

As for whether I like it, I start in two days, so I guess I'll tell you then.

yeppers. I do clerical/customer service/data entry stuff at a local community college. I like it. I've been there for 5.5 years now. Before that I worked for a pizza store as a driver and manager for 3 years.

I work at the local university as an admin grunt 3 days/week - only they're short days. It gets me out of the house, and I kind of enjoy the work. My boss is wonderfully flexible when it comes to me fitting in my hours to suit the kids and the nanny.

Kinda ... I am a professional photographer and though most of my work is from home, I do have several jobs that are "on location".

I am a production support manager for Boeing. So my stress levels are HIGH all the time. I work for Finance and IT...not a good combo! Gotta love the month end closings, year end we just finished up....aaaahhhhhhhhhhh! I basically oversee one application that manages financial planning & analysis. I love it though. I've been with Boeing for 8 months. Prior to that, I was an IT consultant at CSC for 6 years. Great client experiences, crappy pay and no overtime. So I LOVE my current job and I love the fact that Boeing stresses a work/life balance. Except they seem to exclude those that work in Finance & IT...what is up with that? LOL

Other perks are that we have the ability work virtually at anytime, I get to make frequent trips to seattle, we have our own fitness center inside the building, free internet at home, and we shut down between Christmas & New Years to "refresh".

Well I have an office in my home, so all my office-=y work is at my house and my sales work is outside the home. So I'll answer that I do work outside the home.
What do I do? I am in sales, I own a Tastefully Simple Gourmet food business and I do taste-testing parties and train other people to sell our products and I do various fundraisers for organizations. (i am doing one for a local church next month as well as for a certain moms group). I also do business gifts and custom gift baskets.

Do I enjoy it? On a scale of 1-10, my enjoyment is a 10. I love not answering to a boss. I love meeting new people and sharing our products, I love learning more about what i do.

I've been doing it for 5 years in April. :)

Yes. I'm a social worker. I do enjoy it but it's challenging at times. I've been in my current position for 2 1/2 years but in this field for 7 years.

I work from home but it's work nonetheless. I am a Recruiter for Alpine Access (www.alpineaccesss.com). I interview new applicants, I interview for client specific positions within the company, lots of HR related sorta stuff ;)

I'm more like Corey...I work a "real job" but it's from home. I teach piano students here at home four mornings a week. I've been teaching to some extent since I was 14 or 15, so that's been 13-14 years now.

I am laid off right now, but I work at a Resort. I love what I do! I have great bosses and they are very understanding about my kids and stuff. I am happy working there, but I really want to go back to school and finish my degree!

Kind of, I'm a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant so it's a mix of both, the out of the home part is doing skin care classes and facials. I started back in October and I like it, although I'm not doing much right now with just having a baby. That's another thing I like about it, I can work when I want.

I have worked for an oil & gas operating company for almost 8 years. I work in the land department. I love it most of the time...sometimes it can be stressful.
