make me thin and beautiful ;)

Lining up for the start of the pcos weight loss- also I have a stray man in tow who wanted to know if he can join as "husband of a pcos'er weight loss" as he has around 150lb to lose.

I shall be weighing in later this evening just let me know how we're planning to chart this and i am eager to get started (as i have visions of the fantastia hippos for me in my bridemaids dress next august if i don't make the change now)

Yay me too. I started last week on a much lower carb diet and higher protein. I'm down 3 lbs so far this week. We are also getting WW again at work but it will take a few weeks. I started my metformin again as well to help with the weight loss. We can do this girlies.

:whistle Let's go ladies!! (And men, CJ's in on it, too!)

1. Get rid of your sugar products or stick them in a place that is really hard to get to. (CJ just looked at this post and said to make sure that the "place that is really hard to get to" isn't your stomach!!)

2. Choose your diet. Schwartzbein, Atkins, South Beach, Low-Fat, etc.

3. Choose your exercise routine. How many days are you aiming for? Do you plan to vary aerobic/weight lifting with days of something like yoga?

4. If you are still nursing (like I am), keep an eye on how your child reacts to any changes in the quality or quantity of your breastmilk.

5. Your meds, if any. And list any vitamins or herbs you are on.

As for thin and beautiful.....I'm just going to settle for 10lbs. this month. I know it's possible with low/moderate carbing. I figure if I can do this, it might inspire me to go for the whole other 30lbs. before the next baby.
Question-I'm sending a MS Word copy of the chart I created to Brooke. Do you guys feel comfortable posting your weight publicly for the PCOS forum? If not, fine with me. The chart can be public or private. Let me know. If we decide on public, we can post it here on a stickey. If not, I'll just email everyone the file and you can fill it out at home and just answer post questions about where you are in your weight loss challenge.

Hey-don't forget. Low carb chocolate is available. I crave Gummie Bears. I was given a bag of no-sugar ones a few years ago at Christmas. I decided to munch on them while writing a term paper. I didn't know that they were made with Malitol. (A substance of the Devil!!) I spent 3 hours in bathroom. (Unfortunately, no smilie can/or should depict this accurately. :giggle)

Moral of this story: Use Splenda. It doesnt' taste like a**, nor does it make you feel like one.

I'm fine with public displaying of weight loss.

I'm sure David will be glad to hear of the extra male too!

:rofl Thanks for the description :giggle

I switched over to splenda a while ago, just for my coffee so its ok.

Thankfully, my nutritionist who put me on the low GI/PCOS diet told me that I can have the odd jaffa cake so I'm in heaven :D

Other than that I have sugar free jelly (jello for the Americans) and lots of popcorn.

I am doing the GI/PCOS diet and have no exercise regime yet besides lots of walking while wearing Sasha. I'm upping my babywearing purely for exercise purposes LOL

I talked to Jo last night after I posted the original message. So apparently, no, it's not possible for Brooke to post the chart as a fill-in stickey. Once again, I have overestimated the internet. Sorry about that.

If everyone interested can PM me, I'll email you the MS Word chart I drew up. Print it and fill it in at home. We'll start by posting our current weights and how many lbs or kg we wish to reasonably lose this month.

I start a new thread on this.

Good luck!!! :thumbsup

Do you mind if right now I don't post my current weight at the moment? I probably will down the line, just not right now.

I shall post how much I wish to lose though :D

Also, for Beka, do you know what are great for those chocolate cravings? Options hot chocolate. They really do take the edge off and are just yummy.
