She had her tonsils and adenoids taken out 10 days ago.

As she was recovering from the surgery, she caught her sisters' cold and has been having a really hard time with it. Up until 2 days ago, she'd cry everytime she'd cough. She would refuse any pain meds until I bought some fast melt tylenol.

After the surgery, she had a little sore on the corner of her mouth from the breathing tube they gave her during surgery. I remember this from the other girls. It's just a little sore that scabs over and heals in a few days. Not with Danielle. Here we are 10 days later and her mouth is a wreck! She developed blisters around it yesterday. Today they're under her lip, along the bottom and top lip line and inside her lip. The poor child. :( It just breaks my heart to see her mouth. She hasn't complained of any pain on her mouth, but you can see that she holds her mouth funny when she smiles and talks - to keep from moving the lips too much.

I called the nurse line and they want to see her. They're afraid she's developed an infection on her lip. I just hope she'll heal soon!!

The doctor is pretty sure it's impetigo so we're on a new antibiotic and antibiotic cream. :(

aww, poor thing! I hope she is better soon.

Just think, there are no more tonsils left in your house...you'll never have to do this again. :hugs

Well, actually, Dave and the girls have had their tonsils out, but I still have mine. ;)

I hope she gets better quickly too! That mess on her face was getting worse very quickly and I hope this is able to reverse it.

LOL! Well, I hope you don't have to have yours out ever. Having them out as an adult is pure torture.

At least there are no more kid tonsils left in your house. :giggle

Thank you! She was worse yesterday and it made me cringe to think how bad it would have gotten if I hadn't taken her in when I did. But this morning it looks a tad bit better.
