Ever full like you're pulled in 1000 different directions when it comes to working and being a mom?

How do you manage?

Do you get easily stressed? What do you use as a stress-reliever?

Yes, which is why I hate working. I hate that sometimes, my work needs have to come in front of my children and/or husband's needs. My solution is to plug away for another year, and then hopefully move!!

I've been feeling like that a lot. I have so many projects on my plate for work right now, I don't know how I'm going to get everything done except to work at least a couple hours every night. It's crazy. When it gets like that, everything else in my life takes a back-seat, which I hate. My house is a disaster cuz while dh will clean, he doesn't do a very good job at it. Our washing machine is old and there's a certain way you have to push it to get the money in or it won't work. I'm the only one in our building that has the "magic touch" which means I have to be around to do laundry or we're losing quarters. LOL

I hate when everything feels so unorganized. It's driving me nuts. I don't even know how to destress right now. I think I need a massage.

LOL about the washing machine.

I know how you feel about beign unorganized. I'm really not a working mom but with school I feel like I am. I see things around my house that I would love to work on to get more organized but I never get around to it.

A thousand times YES!

I am discovering that I don't handle stress very easily. I get snippy and irritated. And I become very fatigued...my body is trying to shut down but I won't let it! I guess some people don't sleep....I am the complete opposite.

I have to make it a point to NOT turn on my laptop when I walk in the door. I wait until 9pm, after the girls are in bed. On the weekends that is harder to manage. Especially during month end close....like this past weekend was absolutely crazy...and to top it off our DSL kept going out. WTF! So I was a huge ball of stress. Another stressful time is when we have a huge implementation going in - and that was the weekend prior to last. :nannybooboo

What do I use as a stress reliever? A stiff drink! Bad, I know. :giggle

Sa-Weet!! Drinks on Tracy :cheers

I get the same way Renita. It is so hard not to turn on my laptop and try to get stuff done until after the kids are in bed. Like right now. LOL I'm being a horrible mother tonight and concentrating on work. The kids will enjoy a night of Blue's Clues so I'm not too worried.

I've been working weekends and nights now for the last 6 weeks or so. It's stressful. I do get cranky when I'm super-stressed. I can't stand being in the office with my sister if it's stresful. We both get bitchy. Right now, since I'm doing work for my Dad, I've brought my laptop and set up 'office' at a folding table and office chair in his office. Otherwise I get too stressed out ignoring the phones and chatter in my office. LOL

A nice stiff drink sounds good. Finding the time for it - hard.

I won't be having a drink tonight...but definitely tomorrow after the hellish day I am experiencing (still experiencing).

It's a toughie. Working from home, I technically can work as much as I want to... or as is authorized, and right now I'm authorized to work 50 hours per week. It is so hard to not peek in on the computer to check my email, or see if my recruits have signed up for their training yet, or multiple different things.

I am with the kids most of the day -- except in the later evening hours -- and it can affect my relationships with them if I let my working get out of control... they need their momma :) Since I have been known to be just a teensy bit of a perfectionist (in some things), it is SO EASY to let important things, like the kids, slide.

Brian is pretty understanding, and just plays video games if I am in an obsessive work mood LOL

As for a stress reliever, I am right there with you on the drink :party but also I do a few things that won't put me into a coma :lmao For example, working out is a TREMENDOUS help on getting rid of those icky feelings :D
