Heh. Well, I guess having a good time. I conceived Gabriel while I was on the pill, because I'm talented like that. Liam was a case of being sort of in between. I was on the Depo shot (you try a lot of different methods when you've conceived on the pill) and we were talking about when we'd start trying for a second baby. I wanted to start as soon as the shot wore off, and Daniel wanted to wait. In the end, he said, "Let's go for it now," and Liam was conceived that day. The thing is, though, even though we'd decided to start trying, the Depo shot wasn't supposed to have worn off.
And then there's Eleanor, who was a mighty surprise. I was charting in conjunction with condoms, and I'm still not sure how she came about. I may have ovulated twice in a month, but like I say, I'm absolutely not sure how that happened, other than the very basic, "When a man and a woman love each other..." stuff. Clearly we had a failure of birth control in one way or another, though.
I'm a little paranoid after all of that. I realize that it can sound taunting to those who have had more of a struggle, but it can be a bit of a trial to have hyper fertility as well. I love my kids, but I'd rather not have a billion of them, you know? And until we're totally decided to be done and Daniel gets the snip, I don't think I'll feel safe from the possibility of pregnancy. I, myself, was conceived with an IUD in place, so apparently I was jinxed by my conception.
dd1 was being young, stupid and horny LOL
ds1 was about as much fun as pulling teeth once the first 12 months passed.
dd2 was sheer disbelief we would ever have another child when ds1 took so much work, surgery, pills- even our DOCTOR laughed at us when we went in to get the pregnancy confirmed, she was in as much disbelief as we were (lets face it- have a patient take 4 years to conceive with medication and surgery, you truly wouldn't believe they'd conceive again 11weeks PP would you?)
pg's #4, #5 & #6 were concerted efforts which all ended in M/C
DS2 (who was result of pg #7) was back to the TTC board but this time we went with dietary and lifestyle control in an attempt to promote ovulation with the pcos - took 13 months.

Both were purely recreational LOL.

DD was a long 4.5 years worth of struggle. It ended up with a diagnosis of PCOS and ending up on metformin before I finally acheived pregnancy.
For the next baby, I'm hoping to pull a Beka :giggle (that is her preg on Dylan).

Uh, pretty much just having a good time. Even the one time we TTC'ed, it only took a month, and so it was still just having a good time. :p
Kristen-I understand about the hyper-fertility...you feel guilty, but you still wish you wouldn't get pregnant QUITE so easily.
We were TTC, but the month we conceived, we were just having fun. We starting trying in April, I think, and then tried in May and June, and then in July and August we had a couple of weddings and so were going to be going from MI to CA, and then back to MI, and then to NJ, so we decided to put TTC on hold until the fall. But, I didn't go back on birth control. We only had sex a few times those months, though, with all of the travelling and staying with family, and we ended up conceiving Thomas in my parents' basement. :giggle
Our idea of TTCing is not using any protection. Beyond that, we just have fun.
