Did you wait to have relations after birth until they told you could?

Not with Becca and Jessica but Kayla I had stitches ummmm up inside fromthe skid mark ;) so we waited! With Mandy I was single so no worries LOL
Yes'm, I certainly did. Actually, the first time I waited as long as the doctor told me to, the second time was waaaaaaayyy past that (think months, not weeks) and this time is shaping up to be just as bad.

I never waited as long as they said - I think the longest I made it was 3 weeks.
We waited a REALLY long time.
Physically, I wasn't up to sex six weeks after giving birth. Not even close. We had sex for the first time I think about 9-10 months after I gave birth, and it still hurt. It hurt for a few months after that, as well.
We also had some issues going on in our marriage that didn't incline me to want to have sex, so that was probably a bigger factor in our waiting as long as we did.
Ummmm...no LOL The longest we waited, was after Amelia, and that was only because of all of her problems, that was 4 weeks. The shortest, was after Gabriel (sadly enough, you'd think him and Amelia being only 10 mts. apart...... LOL) we waited 8 days.

With Joshua, yes I did! I had an episiotomy with him and it took me a long time to recuperate.
I don't remember with Lisey. With Sonia we didn't wait, and I don't think we did after Z either(although we were being VERY careful after having her, since Steve hadn't had his V yet, so I don't know how much ACTUAL intercourse we had).

We resumed when I was comfortable. After Dylan it was maybe 2 wks. Caleb it was the full 6 weeks because the Csection took forever to heal and Isabella was 3 or 4

With Caleb & Joshua it was after about 4 weeks. With Tristan it was more like 8 weeks because it took me a lot longer to heal after having him.

Nope. Less than 3 weeks. But it hurt. We were doing everything but from about 9 days and it would have been sooner except I spent most of my time at the hospital with Sasha.
That being said, they never mentioned anything about when relations could resume LOL

I think they said 6 weeks, but I had my post-birth check-up at 4 weeks, and it was that night! And there was also activity other than intercourse much earlier than that. :)

Yes. I wasn't in any hurry.
With the boys I wasn't really having sex anyway.
With Jas, we had foreplay a few days after and sex 3 weeks after IIRC.

I always waited the 6 weeks, my body needed the time to recuperate! BUT there was always action without actually DTD. ;)

we tried about 5 weeks out, but didn't get the 'job finished" for either of us....I was still VERY sore from the c-section and DH just couldn't understand why when my BIL had told him my sister was up and going after her c-section...well GOOD for her :bite me

They said 6 weeks after Deklan...we didn't make it. I was scared...his delivery was difficult and I had stitches...but we were ready to go for it anyhow! It ended up being fine. After Corbin they said 4-6 weeks and I think we made it to 2 or 3 weeks, maybe. Much easier birth, but still a little nervous about it all!

Nope, it was about 3 weeks each time.
