Attn PCOS Cysters: Info Needed for Possible PCOS Sufferers

I'm going to put together a sticky for this forum and I'd like to have everyone's input on symptoms and/or situations that resulted in your PCOS diagnosis.

If you can put the symptoms/situations in a numerical order list, I'll arrange it and post it for any visitors to the PCOS forum who think they might have PCOS, but aren't sure. Yes, I'll put in a medical disclaimer and direct them to other legitimate medical non-profit websites where they can find out more.

Ok, here were my symtoms

1. Infertility
2. Huge gaps between periods
3. Very heavy periods as a teen followed by very light spotting as an adult
4. Weight problems - easy to put weight on, very difficult to get it off, no matter what I did. Only a very low GI/PCOS diet worked.
5. Excess hair (thankfully not too bad for me)
6. related to the infertility - through charting I realised my temps were all over the place and ovulation didn't seem to be occuring.
7. Tiredness and lethargy
8. Dizzyness
9. Bloatedness

1. irregular periods
2. annovulation
3. hirituism (excess hair particularly in the face)
4. Darkened skin under arms and in between legs
5. insulin resistance
6. infertility
7. weight gain
8. skin tags (moles that stick out like tags on body particularly on neck)
9. between period spotting

Oh, the lovely problems! I got a goodie!

1. Unexplained lactation (unexplained galactorhrea)

2. Sensitivity to cold

3. Hair loss on head

4. "Dark hairs in funny places" nipples, mustache, under the chin

5. Acne-REALLY BAD ACNE

6. Skin Tags

7. Cyst pain caused by popping

8. Cycle shortened

9. Weight Gain

10. Lowered Libo-yeah, CJ loves it when I tell people that one!

11. Exhaustion

oh yes, lower libido. I have that as well. I do tend to have mild cramps down low usually accompanied by brown spotting a day later.
