Ever since I've had kids, my periods have been so darn manageable. Before, AF would hang around for something like a week or so, and sometimes, I would feel really, really awful at the beginning.
However, since having kids, my periods have been so much shorter and lighter and less painful. I mean seriously...we're talking like one or two days of heavier stuff, and then just spotting for a day or two. Which is a HUGE improvement over a week-long visit from AF.
Anyhow...I just had to share my joy. and for those of you that are jealous, I just want you to know this is my happy payback for 4 pregnancies from hell. I earned a nice AF. :giggle
I totally understand, and share the joy. :p I haven't had more than a few days of spotting a month since I got the Mirena, but even before that my post-baby periods were a lot better than my pre-baby ones. I used to regularly have my period for 8-10 days, and it would be extremely heavy for the first 4 or 5 days, and I'd have really awful cramps. Even before the Mirena, I didn't have any cramping once my period came back after having Thomas. It was definitely nice.

Mine were great after babies #1-#3, but since I've had #4 they've been awful! I finally had to go on BCP to get some regularity to them. :(

Mine are very light after having 3 kids, as well.... Maybe one heavy day, followed by 2 lighter days and then THAT IS IT :clap

I won't hate you! :p Mine have always been bad, before kids, after kids... it's a hereditary issue for me. I've learned to accept that I'll probably need a hysterectomy in the next 10 - 15 years, if not sooner. HOWEVER, I will say that I was blessed enough to not have a period for the first 19 months of Ellie's life, so that was nice! :)
I'm thrilled for you. Mine are definitely worse than pre-babies - although I was on the pill for years before conceiving Liam, so it's hard to remember back to high school! I've had about 5 cycles since it came back this time, and they're awful - almost awful enough to make me ponder getting pregnant again just to avoid them for a couple more years :lol .

Mine too... which I THINK I deserve, seeing as how the only days I ever took off in HS were due to severe cramping. I had a "tilted uterus" - who doesn't and my gyn told me that was the culprit. Whatever AJ did worked because I've gone from having 2-3 days of extremely heavy flow + awful cramps to 5 days of light/med flow, but no cramps... So, I gained a few days, but rid of A LOT of pain... I'm fine with that ;)
I am a mix. I am so much heavier now but with so much less pain. I figure it is because my cervix is probably next to useless at this point to it doesn't cause me any problems. I could deal without being as heavy but I have noticed that as the months go by, it is getting shorter(within the norm) and what really freaks me out is that I have this perfect, by the book, 28 day schedule. That has never happened before!

Mine are better after having kids too. They are still no picnic but the heavy bleeding is gone and the cramps are much lighter than they used to be.
Mine got worse (longer) after JZ. It will be interesting to see what happens this time. Hopefully I have at least another six months before I find out. :D
Congrats on the reduced AF. You definitely deserve it after what you put up with for all those months of pregnancy!
