I cooked Steve a meal of his choice yesterday, but his gifts were spread out for the week before Father's Day. Steve loooooooves gifts, so I got 7 small things for him and gave him one a day for the week leading up to Father's Day. ;) The kids and I also made cards for him.

Kids made cards for David, we're beyond broke at present so it was 3 homemade cards, 2 chocolte truffles Jude made at nursery and a nice breakfast here.

We spent the day as a family which was nice.

Yes, we went round the in laws, everyone was with their dad, of course except me as I do not even know where my dad is currently and haven't seen him or heard from him in 6 months. Yep I felt left out and sorry for myself.

I was also pissed off because STB MIL kept telling Tom it was his first fathers day, Tom told her that last year was his first as he celebrated it with the boys, she would not have it that he can love the boys as much as his daughter :rolleyes even though he told her just two days before hand that there is no difference between the boys and Jasmine, but nope, she just won't have it. If she doesn't believe him then fine, no need to keep going on about it though. It offends me big time, it offends Tom as well.

We didn't really do much. Tim slept in and the kids made him breakfast (frosen waffles since they were just recently allowed to start using the toaster. :giggle) Then we all got dressed and Tim went and got his haircut and we did some shopping for Dylan's birthday party this weekend and then went out to lunch at Boston Market (Tim's choice) Tim got two new movies and he hung around and watched those with the boys. Then he made dinner (scallops and salmon on the grill) and i made the sides. We just hung out and relaxed the rest of the night. The kids and I got colds the day we came back from vacation so none of us were up for doing much.

Yes, I did something nice. I went grocery shopping and to lunch by myself while dh stayed home with the kids! LOL

We are not big on these types of holidays. Dh really couldn't give a fig about Father's Day. He said all he wanted to do was sit and watch the U.S. Open, which he did, so he was happy. I needed to go to the store so he said to go ahead and go.

Even if we'd wanted to go out we couldn't have because Madalyn was sick, anyway.

The kids were with their daddy (appropriately enough ;) ), and I made sure they each had an opportunity to buy him a nice card. Mike drove Rachel up to camp (www.idrahaje.org), and Mike took Kaleb and Kara to dinner at P.F. Chang's.

As for MY daddy, he's on vacation with my mom and was in Chicago when I called him to wish him a happy Father's Day. I just adore my dad, he is the best man in the world:lovealot

Nope. We drove 556 miles. I am not sure Dave enjoyed that much.

The girls had their day planned out....I made a big breakfast, then the girls & I left to get his car washed and detailed. very surprised! we also gave him his gifts, which my oldest picked out...she did a darn good job and even DH was impressed. after naptime, we made him a chocolate cake and brownies, per the girls request. for dinner, we ordered in thai food. a very nice day, I must say and he scored high on the gifts.
