Okay, so as some of you know, we live in the highest cost of living areas in Canada. Our province has the most insane housing prices and they are only getting higher.

Here is my recent thought. If we pack up and move to Ontario, we can buy a brand new house for about half the amount of our 32 yr old half-updated split level.

There are so many things to consider when considering moving to the other side of the country.

One of the considerations is moving up the kids from where they know everything (ie family, friends, school, familiarities, greenery

One of the pro's of moving out there is that we'd be actually paying down our mortgage and have some disposable income even if I stay home. Right now, even if we refinance and pay off ALL of our revolving debt, we only have about 100-200/mo left over as "disposable" income for holidays, extras (such as clothes).

We would have to start all over again, but the good thing would be that I could stay home with the kids.

I am just SO torn. Dh says he is up for whatever. The kids would be upset, ofcourse, but I just feel like we wouldn't get ahead by staying here. Even if we moved out to the interior of the Province (BC) we wouldn't get ahead.

ok...input? What would you make me consider?
