:party I am so relieved. I was seated in the original jury, and told the judge I have nobody to pick up dd from school at 2:45. He talked with the lawyers about it, and the prosecutor kept looking at me and I thought "Oh crap! That lady wants me on this jury" But the judge let me go! Wooohooo!!!! Now, there's a fair chance that the defense would have use one of their 6 strikes on me anyway after interviews (it was a rape case, and I'm from a cop family, and have close friends and family who have been sexually assaulted) but I totally feel so glad I didn't get put on the jury. Cailin got sent home sick today when I got home from the court, and there is NO way I could have taken care of the kids and still been in court everyday.
