Does anyone else just love the coming of spring and summer so that they can get fresh produce and other goodies at their local farmer's markets? I love going-my mouth is already watering at the thought of double yolk eggs, homemade cheese, and organic strawberries....*drool*:feedme

Anyhoo, I had a great idea. Well, at least I think it's a great idea. Can everyone please post web links to their local farmer's markets? People travel over the summer and we could reference it!

In Fairfax County, VA it's:

In the City of Alexandria:

In Arlington, VA:

In Washington DC there are a few:

Sad to say, this one just burned this morning but hopefully it will be re-built and back soon!

I used to, but now I've joined a CSA, which means, in this case, that I subscribe to two local farms and pick up a box of food from them every Wednesday. That's easier for me than dragging three kids to a Farmer's Market on the weekend in addition to all my other tasks, not to mention that I get more food for less money. Anyway, here's a link (http://www.sfgate.com/listings/search.php?events) where you can look up Farmer's Markets in the San Francisco Bay Area, and another link (http://www.nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/csa/csa.shtml) to help people find a CSA near them, should they be interested.

There is an awesome one in our City but it's only on Saturdays and it's VERY popular, and gets very busy. I rarely go because I always feel like I am going to lose one of the kids. It's great when I have gone though, such yummy food.

I am definitely a Farmers' Market addict. I'm just unhappy that we only get one a month here.

The only one I've been to here SUCKED. There were like 6 stands and only one had produce. The others were all soap and crafts.
The flea market has great stuff but it's a long drive, you have to pay to get in, and then haul the kids around, listen to them beg for food, listen to them beg for rides, listen to dh beg to leave LOL Not worth it.

We have several small farmer's markets around our area. There's one right down the road from us that I go to regularly. There's a major one up in Charlotte, but I've never been there.
