So I had to go out to the ER today - for the past 2 weeks I have been having frequent dizzy spells and my headaches have been horrendous. Usually, I can get through them - but today at work, suddenly it felt like I couldnt focus, and when I looked at things it felt like they were moving and I was just going to fall over - my headaches started and I was just getting more and more upset b/c I was at work and managers and customers wait for no woman when it comes to getting thier food ;op My boss called my doctor and they told her to take me out to the ER - they did the blood tests, EKG, blood pressure and they said everything looked great. He said he wanted to hold off on doing any catscans - and said that he was just diagnosing this as my migranes reaccurring (Ive had them chronically for years).

Did anybody have any problems with migranes while pregnant and is there other medication that they put you on - b/c I swear tylonol is nothing but a water pill ;op I have to follow up with my dr in a couple of days.

Thanks for any input--;o)

Rose.

oh hugs Rose. I was gone all weekend. I'm so sorry you had to go to the ER. I know how much those Migraines bother you. I'm glad the dr's are taking it serioulsy. NOW, YOU NEED TO REST. I know you. Let me know if you need anything.

I did have migraines with Rhayan but not to the extent like you.

You poor thing. I think I may have had issues with migraines to some extent but because I was on heparin throughout pregnancy, I didn't take anything else. But it wasn't close to what you were going through.

Did you ask what meds you could take? I know paracetomol is ok but not sure about stronger meds. :squeeze and hope things get better for you!

Oh no! :(:squeeze Pregnancy is the one time that I don't have headaches or migraines all to often. I hope you're able to get some relief soon!

I have had them on and off with the pregnancies with both of my girls (but not the boys weirdly enough) however it is very important you always get severe headaches checked in pregnancy as they can be a very serious sign of pre-eclampsia which is one of those conditions which is best picked up on as early as can be for the best management of it as is possible. Glad to hear your work are being considerate and got you to medical care as soon as possible.

I agree about asking about pain relief too, if nothing else they can help rule out what you can't use in order for you to start looking at what you can use.
